I'm so angry right now.
Do I have to explain everything dealing with human emotion? Do I have to teach my husband the difference between being supportive and being unfeeling? I mean the very basic emotional needs...he just doesn't get it and I'm so fvcking sick of being the goddamn teacher!
Why can't he come to a place like TAM and figure it out himself? Why does he get to be so fvcking lazy and clueless when it comes dealing with his marriage? When he remains so utterly clueless and I have to explain what I consider to be basic things it makes me feel like I'm demanding and unreasonable. Because he is so out of touch with emotions, (correction: with his wife's emotions because he seems to be highly understanding of other people's emotions) when I have to explain I feel like I'm asking for too much, like I'm unreasonable. Because if I was asking for something reasonable, him being an intelligent reasonable man, he would know what I was asking for.
I know I'm not making sense right now...sorry but I'm so angry.
Child falls and cuts themselves. How do you respond? Tend to the wound while giving soothing touches and soothing words, right! Not my husband! He will slap on a band aide and yell at them for being clumsy, then walk away!
You see the difference! One approach is supportive while the other approach ...leaves a great deal to be desired!
I am so jealous of every woman whose husband is here at TAM!
I'm not teaching him any more. I'm not showing him the way any more. Your wife says you're not supportive, you claim you are.
Okay then. Now what? Stale mate. Figure it out dude!
