My older brother is 29, I don't think he's ever had a gf. He's not that unattractive I don't think, but he's prematurely balding and also overweight - and can't lose it (genetics? and terrible willpower - my parents have tried everything; diets (he sneakily buys food and bins before home), his loan to them they said if he lost weight wouldn't have to pay [he's still paying])
He's worked at a supermarket for 12 years, and only last year did he get a house. His job is stable but underachieving.
Since we moved to the UK when I was a baby, but he was 10, he was put at a disadvantage not knowing the language and didn't do as well as possible. (we come from a very smart family) He studied java or something at london met in the end, for no reason.
His job is still in the hometown, yet his new house is an hour away and he 'can't find a job there' so he travels and pays a ridiculous amount to get there, or occasionally is home.
And basically it's horrible - my parents have tried everything. but either he doesn't care or whatever but it's horrible to see! Them trying everything and him working his way to 30 working at a supermarket and never having a gf..
