Threatened by girlfriends outgoing nature

  • Thread Starter

My girlfriend of a short time is very outgoing, bubbly and flirtatious. Which of course, are positive qualities but they also could be perceived as threatening to someone who has insecurities like me.

My insecurities manifest themselves usually through me feeling envious and paranoid when she goes out and seeks opportunities. I think this is because she is very flirty and I fear infidelity, I guess because she has the more confident personality and has had more sexual partners than me. She is very 'free spirited' and has had threesomes, with girls and guts and when she isn't around I do get insecure, particularly since it's LDR.

I have noticed recently that I become somewhat panicky whenever she goes out and about, taking up opportunities and meeting new people. This is because I fear she will get so immersed in this, and have a change of heart about us.

I'm not exactly a 'classic' case of a control freak, but I just fear the unknown. I just don't want her to turn around and tell me she's found someone more interesting, more secure and more fun.

Recently for example, she just got back from a trip at the other side of country, to arrange a summer volunteering outing. I am happy for her, but it's almost as like as soon as she comes back I feel she hates the whole 'coming back to reality' after a fun weekend away. I don't want this notion to make her think twice.

My ex won't give me my stuff back

  • Thread Starter

We were together almost 2 years, and he dumped me by text out of the blue 3 weeks ago then I found out he had been cheating on me and is with this girl now. So, yeah, he's clearly a massive dick.

He has 2 shirts of mine, which I don't really care about. He also has one of my books, and I politely asked for it back but he never responded. My books mean a lot to me and I know this may seem ridiculous but I really would like it back because I found it in a small book store and I've never seen it anywhere else before and it wasn't exactly cheap either.

I can't just go to his house and get it because we were long distance, 150 miles apart, so...

Any advice?

Need Advice from a Womans Perspective!

I am in desperate need of Advice from someone who is a good sounding bored, or has been through something similar to what I am going through! I know my post is long, but don't give up on me! :)

I am 28 years old. Have two beautiful children. I had a successful job for 5 years, but now am a stay at home mother/homemaker. I NEED advice, guidance, maybe a little help with some issues that are popping up in my marriage.

First off, we have been married 6 months. Together for a total of 2 and 1/2 years. Living together now for two years. I have an 8 years old child previously. Together we have a 1 year old.

First Off:He is BAD with Money and will Lie about it.
Second: He has a terrible attitude/temper and can get very defensive.

Ok. I know, super lengthy. Sorry, lol. And as a disclaimer from the get go, My husband has become a much better person than he was. We are young, 27 and 28. Some of his issues have gotten better and he has made progress. I KNEW the person I was marrying would have difficulties. I KNEW he had issues with lying when he was much younger (A LOT of that stems from Daddy issues). I am NOT perfect and neither is he. HE DOES Love me. I am very certain of that. He is a Great Father, especially compared to my 8 years olds biological father (he never wanted anything to do with her or me, once he found out I was pregnant). There are many pluses to my husbands negatives. He has even recently started to help with housework, which he would NEVER do before.

But, there are problems. Issues have come up that are making me consider divorce, and I hate that I am even thinking it. My parents have been married 34 years. They had their struggles and ups and downs. But, they are happier now than ever. I WANT to get to that place. I know it takes work and I am trying.

First Issue:
He will LIE to me about paying a bill, such as a water bill or cable bill. This BAFFLES ME! He also has BIG issues with thinking of the money he earns as belonging to just HIM, rather than his family. I am NOT a greedy gold digger. I DO NOT shop! I buy groceries, I make sure we have what we need at home, the essentials. I make sure the baby and my daughter have what they need. That is all. I WAS paying the bills. BUT his issues with control over the money made me throw my hands in the air and say...it's yours, not mine, just give me grocery money.

I do not know what to do. He will waste his entire paycheck within a few days. And have NOTHING to show for it. He "says" he paid a bill, but "threw out the receipt." That is a LIE. He NEVER throws out a receipt. Plus, payment is NOT showing up on our account. This was supposedly paid last week. He got so pissed off at me for even asking for a receipt, so that I could call the business and have it straigtened out. That is a tell tell sign, he did not pay it.

Second:
He has a terrible attitude/temper and can get very defensive.

If I question, and I mean one question, him on anything I suspect he may have not done completely right. He will get so defensive and so mad. It is getting tough. He will berrate me, say really mean things to me. Say he hates me. How I do not respect him. He will tell me to pack my stuff up and call my parents and move out. He has told me he hated me once. He said it in front of my daughter (My daughter does not like my husband at all). He has told my daughter over the phone I need to leave. He has such a terrible temper. He has never hit me or come at me. He just verbally abuses. NOW, I am NOT saying I am perfect. Believe me, when he starts in on me, I can open up my big fat mouth and make it worse, I know! BUT, there is a difference. I draw a line at the things I say to him. He does not. He literally tears me a part in side and hurts me. I will be in tears and he will stand over me with his arms crossed across his chest telling me how annoying I am being that I am crying. I CANNOT take anymore of this.

With that being said, he does apologize profusely afterwards. I have stayed at my parents twice. I love him. I have envisioned us growing old together. BUT he is so petty about things. I know he has a lot more growing up to do and I am holding in strong, but I no longer feel anything when he apologizes. I do not feel better. Because, I know he will do it again.

He has problems with helping me if I am hurt also. It is like he is afraid of being too sensitive. If I am upset, he will not touch me! And that makes me so much more upset! I had a miscarriage almost two years ago, and he was so mean to me! That was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. I would just cry and cry. FINALLY, he got to where he found out I calmed down once he comforted me. But FORGET him ever trying to comfort me when he upsets me. He keep saying how he is "learning" and this is all new to him... Um, buddy it has been 2 and a half years! Plus, I TELL him what makes me feel better! NOW, I am NOT a cryer, I HATE IT. I normally cried, maybe twice a year if that much. But, he has such a way with his words, that he can have me in tears in no time. Then he tells me how stupid and annoying I am being. INstead of just realizing he is the reason I am even being emotional. And Forget him hugging me to make me stop. He will just tell me to shut up, that I will wa ke the baby or that my daughter will hear. Then he will hound me with questions about what is wrong with me and why am I crying and to CALM DOWN.... I HATE that response!

He can also be very lazy. He will go a month or more without cutting our grass, right now it is up to my shin. I Hate it. I tried cranking the mower the other day, unsuccessfully. lol. It's a push mower. He has said he will cut it tomorrow. But, he also said he would do it last weekend. He has a problem with "follow-through." I no longer take him at his word. He doesn't even understand why! I mean, come on! He barely does what he says he will do. I would say MAYBE 10% of the time he ACTUALLY does what he says he will. Any other time, it's excuse after excuse.

Again, I want to say I am NOT perfect. I make so many mistakes also. I can have a sassy attitude. I can give him the cold shoulder when he is actually trying to be nice. BUT, after all our arguments, and all the horrible stuff he has said to me to put me down. I find it harder and harder to be loving towards him. I think we need marriage counseling for sure. But, this is my first step and looking for a little help and guidance.

I will say this, he does pay for anything my daughter wants, when he has money. He pays for her insurance also. There are plenty of pros to go with the cons. That is why I have held in for so long. But, there has to be a breaking point.

HElP.

Trying to forget hubby's "just a friend" from long ago

I just really need to vent or I think I'll explode from too much thinking. This will be a novel because I'm a writer and I don't know Reader's Digest version of anything, so grab a cup of coffee and tell me I'm wrong about this old friend's motives or if I read her correctly. I don't discuss marital issues with friends, so I hesitate to drag this up in person with one of them. I've lurked here for awhile to see if others have had similar problems and finally decided to just plunge right in and ask you guys. I feel rather petty because nothing really happened, but…..

First off, hubby and I are both around 50, married 25 yrs, met in grad school, no kids. He's a great guy, and I love him very much, but he started becoming a "jerk" about 8 yrs ago, but we didn't realize that the originating cause was a powerful SSRI (anti-depressant) he was put on for anxiety (first parent's death and lots of work stress). We didn't connect subsequent behavior changes with the med (until last year). It also caused alcohol cravings, and when we realized he was drinking too much, he put me in "charge" of the beer in the house/fridge so that kept him from drinking too much. The drug itself (generic is venlafaxine) is known to sometimes cause alcohol cravings or abuse in some. It can also "impair judgement" and "loss of the ability to inhibit oneself"—couple this with drinking, and you get the picture. Most of our arguments during these last years had that as its genesis. Even though he knew I was helping—and he wanted it because he knew he couldn't trust himself all the time about it—I know he also resented it.

And so, that's the setting…..

About the time he went on the med, an old female friend of his from junior college contacted him. He was friends with her for 1 year before they went to separate universities in different states. She liked him way more than he liked her (he said he never felt an attraction for her, and he had enough girls he WAS interested in). She'd asked him on several "dates" in hopes of something more. The last time was after they were in separate schools—she invited him to a ball game and hoped he'd stay the night (she planned to have sex with him), but he sensed something and headed back to his school after the game instead. That was the last time they saw each other, and their letters trickled to a stop within the next year as she finally started dating someone. I heard this story back when we were dating—during that time when you're getting to learn about each other's past, etc. (and heard about all his other real girl friends and "liaisons"), so I know he only considered her a friend, nothing more. Since I always had guy friends, I never thought anything about it.

Anyway, about the time he started the meds (8 yrs ago or so), he got a letter at the house from this friend (who lived about 500 miles away) who'd tracked him down via their alumni assoc. She'd just gotten a divorce. She wanted to "catch up" with him and wrote that she'd reconnected with a few of "the gang". I asked him if he was going to write her back, and he said "nope—don't have time". However, I suggested that any old friend deserved to have a reply—I know I enjoyed catching up with a few over the years, and I'd have been disappointed if someone didn't at least acknowledge a letter. I figured that's all it would be—it's all I've ever done. He wrote out a short reply, and gave it to me to mail. She wrote back, giving her email address (because that's easier than snail mail of the old days, she suggested), so this time I wrote her—to her email address—saying that he's very busy and not one who keeps in touch much with anybody, even family (truth, from all my years of witnessing it being that way) so she wouldn't be disappointed when he didn't email her. She and I exchanged a couple of emails, and in one she said she could understand why I might not like it that an old female friend wanted to correspond with my husband. She called him "the best man I've ever known." She proceeded to tell me that her own husband had been looked up by an old high school girlfriend, they emailed for awhile, later met for lunch, and it eventually developed into an affair. Oh really now!?! So, I put her on the Christmas card list and didn't encourage any further emails. Done, right?

What I didn't know is that I must've made her mad when I said hubby wasn't the type to "keep in touch", and she set out to prove me wrong. She knew the company he worked for, so she called his office and she got his business email. Now here's where I wish hubby had said something to me, but in his defense, he knew I was aware of her contact, etc. And heck, he didn't tell me things he was supposed to tell me (emails with his family, making plans, then them mad when we didn't show up—because he didn't tell me or fwd their emails).

So, moving forward about 2 yrs, and we've moved halfway across the country for his job. Very stressful time—new, harder position, his mom died, we were building a house, his drinking barely under control. His med causing a new side-effect—severe nighttime "restless legs" (more like JERKY legs, all night)….combine that with sleep apnea and unrelenting snoring, and I finally took refuge—with his approval—in the guest room. It was a horrible summer. He gets home from work, eats, heads to his home office to continue "working" on computer. One evening I sit on his desk to catch up with him, and his email is open. I glance at it, nothing registering at first—the usual work names I've seen for years. Except for one—that friend. There's 3 in his inbox. The one that caught my eye was on top and subject was "Read this first!!!" I asked him about it. He very casually said who it was from when I asked. I guess he wasn't prepared for my next question, though, "can I read it please?" Uh oh. No was his answer, then he deleted them.

Now, up until this time, I had no reason to really worry about my husband (except for the drinking and general sometimes "jerkiness"). I also knew that right then, he was under a ton of work pressure (which I guess is why there were several emails from her left in inbox because he hadn't been able to get to them). He had a huge deadline to make the next few days in preparation for an overseas meeting. I knew I had to let him get through that before we talked more. I was pretty cool to him that evening and next day, then he left for his trip, and all was "back to usual." A few days after he got back, I brought it up and reminded him of how her husband had gotten caught up with an old friend and ended in an affair and that he'd better think twice if he didn't think she wanted something from him. His eyebrows went up—he didn't remember that detail of her divorce. Anyway, 2 months later and it's Christmas. I asked him if we were still sending her a Christmas card, and he gave me an adamant NO. I asked if he still emailed with her, and he said no—that she emailed too much and he usually deleted them anyway.

Over a year later, and he changes companies (and therefore email addresses). He gets up on LinkedIn with the job change. A few months after that, she sends him a LinkedIn request and very short "hope you're well" message. I see it about 2 weeks later. I mentioned it, and he said he just ignored it (not technically—so I "ignored" it for him by clicking the ignore button). I then asked him if he'd given her his new contact info when he changed jobs, and he said no. I "bet" him he'd be getting an email from her soon—to his personal email that he had listed on LinkedIn, and sure enough she did another week later. It was totally innocent and short; I think the subject line was "not interested" and the rest was something like: "not interested in messing with your life, never was. Just hoping everything is going well in your career and your personal life." I took that to mean that it had crossed her mind that the reason he dropped their correspondence was because he thought she was messing in his life. I figured maybe that meant he talked about our marriage and she was offering up "advice".

During the time of their apparent emailing, he'd made a comment that floored me and hurt my feelings—he told me that I didn't love him anymore and that I'd already pulled away from the marriage….because I no longer slept in the same bed with him. Whaaat? I thought he knew why—he DID know why. Anyway, I stripped the guest room so it wouldn't be convenient for me and went back to our bed, but it was impossible to sleep there with the thrashing about—I still ended up on the sofa. But, I had an idea and filmed him with my phone of his jerks, kicks, and SNORING and showed it to him. He couldn't believe how bad it was (and realized why he never felt refreshed in the mornings). I always wondered where he'd come up with that—I now figured it had to be her!

The LinkedIn message and email sparked a bit more discussion about her, and he said that at first he hadn't thought anything about it—she was just an old friend, and it was fun catching up and talking about old times, but that in the end, he realized she "might've" wanted more. He told me she'd told him that she'd planned on losing her virginity to him after that football game he attended at her school—she had it all planned that he'd stay in her room with her, absent roommate, but he drove back to his school instead. Why would this come up in conversation now?

I overreacted and was all upset—and he was mad that this was from so long ago, and that he "hadn't done anything", but my menopausal hormones were in full swing, and I guess I got a bit paranoid, so I wrote her and told her to stop trying to contact my husband—to take the hint that since he hadn't given her his new contact info and hadn't responded to her LinkedIn request, note, and later email that he didn't want contact with her anymore. I "told her off"—that I knew exactly what she had hoped to gain by reconnecting with him. And a bit more. I worried she might be the type to keep trying with him. She wrote back, and instead of instantly saying something like she was soooo sorry and never in a million years would she have wanted to cause problems in his marriage and is horrified that I thought that of her (and thereby making ME feel bad). Instead, she jumped all over me, being "insulted" for both of them and on and on. One GOOD thing she said was "what I don't get is, how you don't know how committed he is to you and your marriage". (Whew!). Hubby doesn't know I wrote.

I wrote her back, explaining why I'd thought what I did—about them both. That if everything was above-board, then he shouldn't have deleted those emails I asked to see (which he much later said was because I'd have misconstrued them but no explanation as to what was actually in them); that if he was so busy with work and had little time for anything / anyone, then he should've been spending it doing something with me instead of emailing with her; that it shouldn't have been behind my back (in her Christmas notes to us, she acted like it was the only time in the year she was in contact—or so it seemed to me). I wrote that it was a stress-filled time that can be critical in marriages: major relocation, death of his last parent, end time of my last parent, job stress, building a house, heavy drinking, etc. He didn't need to be "seeking counsel" with someone who wasn't a friend of the marriage, someone who might've had ulterior motives of her own, someone who could remind him about their teen years, etc. I ended it with an apology in case this was just menopausal hormonal paranoia and to look me up on Facebook or send us a Christmas card if she really wanted to be friends…..

Anyway, a few months after all that was all over, he had a health crisis and it was finally figured out that his med had been causing quite a few problems over the years (including the restless legs that miraculously disappeared after the first med decrease). He started weening very slowly off it, and when he was about 50% off the med, he said he could feel a fog lifting from his brain and said some of the things I'd been upset about in the previous year simply "hadn't been him". He also couldn't remember a lot of our disagreements nor could he remember the family drama we'd gone through with his siblings when he mom was dying (that was a big eye-opener).

All was (is) good……then last week I came across a book in our bookcase that I didn't buy—he'd brought it home from his old job. He'd said someone had given it to him (he's not a reader, so he gave it to me, and I'd put in the bookcase). I was tossing books in a box to go to Goodwill the other day, and I thumbed through it before tossing it and noticed a note tucked inside. A typed letter from the friend. The book was a gift on his birthday, the letter was platonic but flowery, dripping with compliments (written the year BEFORE I knew about the emails of last year). She twice called him an "amazing man" and commented on his amazing qualities; she said she was proud of him. That his friendship was one of the biggest gifts in her life; she was so grateful for him. From the letter, I realized that they'd been in contact since the very beginning and that she'd been calling him at his office, AND sending him presents to his work address. It's like she'd studied "The Other Woman 101: Top things to say to your married man because he might not be hearing them at home after 25 yrs of marriage"; send a book that could spark discussion about the path taken in life (she just didn't know he's not a reader). He said he honestly doesn't remember getting the book from her, never looked at it, and never saw the letter. I believe him—the book was pristine with unbroken spine.

I'm just unreasonably mad right now. Hubby doesn't get it—that seeing that book is like it's just now happening, even though I know it's from 2-3 yrs ago. I'm mad that another woman thinks her long-suffering friend (from whatever woes he might've told her—the med made him feel "stuck in a miserable existence" at times with no real feelings for much of anything) really is married to a witch because where the friend got to see an amazing man, she thinks I saw a man in the middle of a mid-life crisis (from my letter, description of our then situation) and that I don't appreciate what I have, etc. I want her to know she didn't fool me (or could I have totally misread her motives?).

I have a vivid imagination and I toyed with the idea of sending the book and note back to her with another note from me, this time with me knowing MORE of the story.

In her reply to me last year, she said she didn't need this kind of drama in her life, so she was "finished with both of us"….that her marriage had been filled with drama and she wanted peace. I find myself wanting to tell her that if she hadn't wanted drama in her life, then she shouldn't have set out to have a secret relationship with a married man behind his wife's back. Hubby said during our last discussion he kind of felt like she was a hypocrite—it'd happened to her marriage, and yet here she was, trying to do it to someone else's. I want her to know that. But that's mean. I know it's over and in the past, but reading that note, it was RIGHT NOW in my heart. I also worry about what she might write back to me if I did that. What if one of those times he was writing to her, he was drinking? Loss of inhibition, etc. He could've said something to make her think she might could get more….who knows. Anyway, that's why I'm here, venting. Hoping that's enough for me—to discuss her motives, to realize I'd read them right and that I'm not a bad person for suspecting it and putting a stop to it.

If you've read this far, thanks! I feel better….I think. I just know I need to get her out of my head, one way or another. Hubby doesn't understand why I feel the need to discuss it. He's the type who won't dwell in the past—sure wish I were that way! It's just that I never felt my curiosity was satisfied about those "secret emails". I know he didn't do anything (physical with her, nor do I believe he would have), and he quit writing her without me having to insist on it—I just made sure he knew how she'd said her marriage ended and told him I thought she looked him up in hopes she'd have it work out for her—like it had for the "other woman" in her own marriage. So what's my problem? Finding the note in that book has just taken me to a level of anger that I've never known before.

Anyway, thanks for listening.

Should I go for It?

  • Thread Starter

Basically, I have a Crush on this girl, who I know well-ish and there are several of my mates, who pointed out that "I fancied her" (from how I acted), however I'm not sure whether to go for it. Most the Time i've gone for it and IT's not worked well for me. I'm not exactly a stunner in appearance, But Apparently i can be quite sweet. Some would say I am out of her league.

So far I have only sent her a Rose on valentine's day but not sure whether to wait till next year or whatever, so asking for your thoughts.

Any Ideas?

Girls are only after one thing. Money. Do a course that will make you money.

  • Thread Starter

I graduated 5 years ago with a physics degree(2:1) from a respectable university. At uni I had a few 'encounters' with girls and I thought after I got my degree and I was in a good job, I'd be able to find a girl to settle down with. This has not been the case for me, or a number of my friends.
Firstly, I get paid peanuts ~30k and I get treated like **** by my bosses. I work 9-7 most days in an office job and Im surrounded by people who have the same job as me, yet their credentials aren't comparable for the most part.
Secondly, EVERY SINGLE person who I knew studying dentistry/medicine has a girlfriend who they met after university. None of them were attractive and most of them were relatively boring. How did they get girlfriends? (who are much better looking btw)
MONEY AND STATUS
The dentists I know are up and running NHS associates raking in around ~60k(some 70k) for a 9-5 job. They dont have bosses(didnt know that dentists are self employed before). Also, they're all looking to do speciality training whilst working.
The doctors I know aren't earning as much right now but 100% will be in the future and they're all deciding/doing their specialities.

By the time im on 60k i might be around 40 years old. Yet my a levels were just as high, my course was just as hard and I dont get nearly as much status as a doctor or a dentist. It may not be like this at your age BUT BELIEVE ME at my age, girls are looking for money, status and stability in a husband.

Alone in love

I recently realized that for the first time in my 28 year old life I have fallen in love. I have been in relationships but never felt this way about anyone. I used to be jealous, controlling. Not anymore. I want this person to be happy, I want him to do whatever makes him happy. But a part of me does want him to feel the same way about me. Unfortunately, he doesn't. We have been friends for almost 7 months now but never really took things to that next level.
He is moving to a different state in early fall and I am constantly torn between just letting him go and doing something to encourage him to think twice.
Why does God send someone in your life if that person is going to leave anyway? I have been struggling with feelings of selflesness and selfishness, and I have no clue how to handle how I feel.
Should I let him know and risk losing a friend, subjecting myself to heartache or should I let him go?
I was told I should fight for what I want and not be passive but is that even right with matters of the heart?

IC through ValueOptions

No offense, to TAM but I wanted to talk to a pro about my marriage as I am following through with ending it. Probably should have done this months ago. My wife, or STBXW refuses MC or IC.

I have five free sessions through ValueOptions from my employer so I might as well use it.

The problem is I have a list of names but I can't find any bio information on 95% of them so I am making the decision based on name and specialty alone. Also, I have called 6 so far and none of them had a person answer the phone and its been days with no call back. I followed up with one who has an office and they say they never got my message an could 'fit me in' sometime in two months (WTF).

One has their home address listed for their contact. Am I really suppose to go over to someone's house and talk about this stuff?

This all seems to be very strange compared to every other experience I have had with healthcare.

Any thoughts or comments? Is this typical? Whatever slight faith or respect that I have in the value of IC/MC is slipping fast.

Establishing Healthy Boundaries

My husband had a 5 month EA- dday was 4/3/14. We have been working hard toward R and it is going pretty well, but we have had ups and downs. Our story is in the Private section. Anyways, we have realized that BOUNDARIES have been a huge issue for my husband for probably his entire adult life. We are working hard to establish healthy boundaries. In the past he had been a bit of a flirt, liked to joke inappropriately, and was mostly just a "nice guy". He has read NMMNG and MMSP and both of those books have actually helped a TON! Just wondering what sorts of boundaries the rest of you have set post affair to work toward a healthier marriage. I'm not real concerned with OW right now- I think that door is firmly closed at he moment. More concerned with going forward- changing habits. Thanks!

Question for the gals - giving just because

Question for the women (seriuosly, just the gals, I don't want to hear about your wife, i want to hear from the ladies)

Everyonce in a great while my wife will simply give me some pleasure (surprise blow job or hand job) without asking in return or even getting undressed. Obviously I love it. And I think this happens in many relationships.

I assume she is getting something out of it (emotional satisfaction?(. Or maybe she just thinks I need it.

In any case two questions..why do you gals do that, what do you get out of it?

Not complaining. Just curious. And always hopeful she'll do it again!

10 Traits of the Alpha Male

  • Thread Starter

The term "alpha" seems to float around these here forums a lot lol , I guess there's not really a definition , but here's my take on it

What do you guys think makes an Alpha Male and how many of them are there?

I'd say there's ten ways you can be alpha , and with all ten you could be a true alpha male

1 . Helping People in every aspect of your life , from being a Nurse , Soldier , Engineer , Doctor , Fireman , Policeman or being a high-flying Businessman/Sportsmen who donates tens of $$$ to charity , to Volunteering on a Saturday morning or helping an old lady with her bags , helping people to achieve their goals should be the main goal of every alpha male

2. Being Extremely Strong , Physically and Emotionally , whether you're a competitive powerlifter , or grew up on the rough side of town , being strong is a key facet of one's masculinity

3. Bringing Happiness to Women . Physically and Emotionally , even though you're going to enjoy it as well , being with a 220lbs jacked heart surgeon who ***** the life out of her every night is going to make any woman happy out of their mind.

4. Bringing Happiness to Men . Not in the same way as bringing happiness to women , unless you're gay of course , which is fine! Mentoring a skinny freshman in your high school at the gym , or conducting scientific research to stop testicular cancer , bringing happiness to other guys makes them respect you

5. Bringing Happiness to Children. Please not in the same way as bringing happiness to women! Being a great father is key to being an alpha male. Raising confident and happy kids who want to make a difference is paramount

6. Being extremely confident . People should walk into a room and feel submissive just by the aura you create .

7. Being tolerant. An alpha male is never racist , sexist , homophobic or xenophobic . You're too secure in yourself to care about these things

8. Being humble . An alpha male should never boast about their achievements or try to convince someone of their greatness. Actions should speak without need for words.

9. Being extremely successful at the one thing you've dedicated yourself to . If you've decided to become a Lawyer , become a Partner in one of New York's biggest law firms , if you've dedicate your life to Bodybuilding , get to the Olympia , if you've decided to become a milkman , become the CEO of the Milk Company! Starting at the bottom rung of the ladder and getting to top commands respect from all others

10. Have a diverse skill set. Every alpha male should speak more than one language , and be great at one of music/art/sports/drama/athletics/comedy . These are all things which enhance other people's lives

Obviously not everyone is naturally intelligent , great musicians , great sportsmen , are good looking or great artists , but whatever your talents , one can still achieve these 10 traits of the alpha male.

I'd say less than 0.1% of Guys fit all this **** srs

I get sexually aroused far too easily!

  • Thread Starter

So basically I'm a 21 year old male virgin, the most I've done with girls is get with some nightclubs nothing more. anyway recently went on my first date ever, went well but nothing sexual happened. I'm just worried that on a second date if we kissed or something I'd get excited and go hard :S and that she would be weirded out by it. I feel helpless by it because my lack of any interaction with a girl sober has left me like this.

Any guys have this before and she was ok with it/get round it and also any girls met with a guy like this before and was ok with it :) ?

(Can I have some female opinions please on experiences with guys like this, thanks! :) )

What a great situation..

  • Thread Starter

So one of my best friends, if not my best friend, was seeing this girl for 1.5/2 years, then whilst I was away in another country for Uni, he broke up with her.

My friend told me how he didn't care if anybody, even our friends. Also, telling me how he didn't have any feelings towards her any more, as he has hooked up with numerous girls since.

9 months down the line when I came back, one night out myself and the ex-girlfriend shared a drunken kiss. We decided to keep it between us.

However, he found out. He is now raging at me, more so than her, and has told me how he never wants to speak to me again and how he "despises" me.

Thoughts on the situation? And any advice on what to do?
