Will he be dissappointed?

  • Thread Starter

Heeey
basically, I met this guy a few weeks ago when I was out. We have spoken quite a bit since and he is pretty up for meeting up. He is also pretty up for me going home with him after a night out again and has been very open about this.
however, will he be disappointed if we get into a situation and he realises that I'm a virgin?
i can be a bit carefree when I'm drunk, though I'm not particularly bothered when I loose it. In some ways id like to before I go to uni in September.. Kind of embarrasses me that i havnt done very much for a lonngg time..

Good Dad??

I do things like Daddy/Daughter dances, go to my girl's dance classes, take my girls to their gymnastics practices. I take them out to do things. My wife does these things as well with our girls.

Lately, I keep hearing "you are such a great dad!" I am not trying to be condescending, but isn't this what Dad's are supposed to do. There is nothing "great" about spending time with your kids. I figured that it should just be considered normal.

Has our world become so busy that a dad doing things with/for his kids is the mark of being an exception? My parents were not involved with my life much growing up. I never wanted my kids to experience that. But, I don't feel like I do anything extraordinary.

I guess, I just really wonder if we, as a society, have become so busy that doing just the normal things in life has become rare. If that has become the case, what does our society need to do to correct the problem?

Ladies, did I handle the situation okay?

Mrs.CuddleBug and I have a cat who is about 13 to 14 years old now. She usually never gets sick, is lean and is still very active.

A day ago, our cat couldn't keep her food down and puked up whenever she ate. She does get hairballs like all cats do and occasionally does puke up.

That Saturday, I was up early, went to the nursery across town, got some lilac's, dug the big holes (nasty rocks and roots), planted, pruned and cleaned up everything (5 hours). Then I grocery shopped, picked up a package from UPS, got toilet handle assemblies to fix both toilets, and recycled. (2 hours). During this time, Mrs.CuddleBug is crying, very upset about our cat being sick, what should I do? I told her, if you feel she is that sick, take her to the vet. 1.5 hours later, she is still here, crying, what should I do? I am very tired at this point and again I tell her, take our cat to the vet!!! She finally does this but gets mad at me for not taking the cat myself or going with her. Yet I had 7 hours of chores and errands to do on my day off and she had basically nothing to do on her day off.

See, Mrs.CuddleBug is a very emotionally sensitive woman, were as I am not a very emotional guy. Her super sensitive emotions totally overwhelm me and I go crazy. I told her, next time, something like this happens, I will give her a long hug, listen a bit and leave her be because if she transfers all this onto me, I go crazy and she feels great but I get no sex multiple times to then get that out of my system. See?

How could I or should I of handled this better?

Oh, I've fed the cat this morning a little bit and now some more and no puking it up, but she is tired and has slept a lot. Probably just sick but we are taking her to get her teeth done and get blood work done.

Moving to start over?

Basic background: Lived in large metro area for most of my life (@20 years). During that time entered into a mentally abusive and socially isolating relationship and subsequent marriage (obviously I didn't realize that at the time). Following the marriage I moved with him for his work to another state that I hated and he continued to make it difficult for me socially. We eventually divorced and it was not amicable (see other threads). Now I have moved home and am living again with my somewhat unsupportive family. My extended family is here as are the maybe 3 friends who I kept in touch with during this whole mess. My ex has tons of friends here (as they are the only ones he really allowed me to socialize with) and I am constantly terrified of running into them.

So here are my issues: while I am in a large area with many people, the metro area I am in is known for not being friendly and being very cliquey; I am ashamed that I lived here for so long yet have so little left here after what has happened ( I did have a normal social life and life in general pre-relationship); several times when I have attended a meetup or club I have had people be rude to me once they realize I am from here originally, and honestly I love the area-I just don't love trying to start over here (I met a another woman at a divorce support group and she had moved in the middle of her divorce for work to here and she had been terrified about making friends as well as she is extremely shy but she now has this massive group of friends but she feels that she only has that because she is new here-if she had stayed in her original location she'd be in my boat-although due to shyness not social isolation.)

So I have strongly been considering moving so I can start over with a clean slate. But it almost makes me feel like because of how things happened I am letting him "win" by not being able to start over in our hometown or that I am running away from my problems, I would again be leaving the few friends and family, and moving does not ensure that my past does not catch up with me or that I will succeed where I move. I do wish I could just make things work here.

I really just don't know what to do... I am very unhappy here but have thought about giving myself a year or two to try and reacclimate and then move. I feel if I try and move right away that if I have to come back I will still not have anything here and I cannot financially afford it right now.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Either moving again after a divorce so that they can have a clean slate or having dealt with a socially isolating relationship (and no I cannot reconnect with friends from my past. He made sure of it). I am only in my late 20s and feel like I am missing out on having a normal life :/

The few people I have available to me to ask have been very split on their opinions so TAM people any ideas? pros and cons?

Need book recommendation about Marriage

Hey there -

I have seen many book recommendations about coping with infidelity or being strong and setting boundaries but those do not seem to target what kind of person I am or what I am dealing with inside my marriage so I am looking for some other options.

Here's my story in a nutshell ... Been with my Husband 10 years, married 5. 2 children and he is a wonderful Husband and hard working Father, no major issues but porn and online sites where he exchanged naked photos. No in person cheating has ever occured. (I'm crazy and have interrogated and investigated until I was 100% positive, plus we've done counsling)

So, after A LOT of talking and work on our marriage for the last year even after all the times he has promised things I have come to a conclusion that he WILL NOT and NEVER WILL give up online porn.
We have sex every other day on the dot but if I work 2 nights in a row he cannot control the urge (which I think is bull**** but how can I divorce him over that, that seems ridiclous considering all the other great things about him)

I have done a lot of research on porn and am pretty sure it's not about me being un-desirable or about him building emotional connections. Also he is only 26 so maybe he is too young to grow out of this phase .... I dont know.
Anyway, I need to learn to lower my standards in this area and accept that it is not about me and not let it affect our life, marriage and my self-esteem?
Any recommendations for a book about this?

Thanks ya'll!

Pets....

So, this may not seem like a big to some who have kids, but for me who does not, our pets are my kids. We have 2 dogs and I moved out of the house into an apartment. We decided I would take the dogs but I was going to need some time to get them. Now he is having them stay at his girlfriends and I'm so angry. I just needed to vent. Another broken promise on his part.

13 yo daughter hated by female peers for beauty, academics

My very blessed daughter is being ostracized by a group of former friends now that boys are a factor. Good times at my house. Apparently being a teenage girl is a hand full.

Starting a marriage

I was thinking about finances today, and I was curious, when you and your spouse got married (first marriages for those of you in their 2nd or 3rd), how much money did you have to your name? Did you have any debt accumulated?

Furthermore, how do you think that financial state affected your marriage?

Disneyland parenting

Do any of you have advice for handling a Disneyland parent? One of the major reasons my wife filed for separation was because I protested the lifestyle she and the kids (9 and 3) shared. She regularly gets season passes to the zoo, museums, children's museums, amusement parks, movies, and many other places. Upon news we were separating, her parents paid for a 10 day trip to Disneyland. Now, a few months later, they're on a three week vacation to the Oregon Coast and Yellowstone.

I know that I have little recourse to change any of that behavior, but it leaves me in a pair of problems. One, everything there is to do around town - they've done it with her already. And Two, when it comes time for my weekends with them, they're usually exhausted. During the school year, they'll usually hit at least one of those places a week, and 4 or 5 of them a week over the summer. I really like spending time with the kids, and like to focus on what it is THEY want to do, but it tends to lead to weekends of naps, downtime, and tv/books. Not horrible, but I'd like to be able branch out a bit, you know?

Any advice/success stories?

I'm 20 and still a virgin (male)

  • Thread Starter

I've just finished my first year at uni and I feel "shameful" for not having sex? I have actually had many opportunities with girls during nights out. Like "in your face" ones (excuse the pun). But I always seem to decline or ignore them. They're not ugly or anything. It's just that during those moments I never actually "feel like it" (drunk or sober). What's wrong with me?

Dating work colleague?

  • Thread Starter

What are peoples opinions of dating someone you work with?

I work in convenience store, so when we're both in we see each other quite a lot.

We're going on a date next week to the cinema, a new film we both wanted to see.

I'm 22, and this will be my first ever date :/

Tickling model wanted

  • Thread Starter

I'm just about to delve into the world of tickling media and need a female model for my first video.
This one will be exclusively foot tickling and the camera will focus on the soles of your feet as I tickle them (your face will not be shown so this can be an anonymous shoot).

The fee for the shoot is £75. In order to be considered your feet must, naturally, be ticklish and seeing as the camera will be zoomed in, your feet must be well cared for and pedicured.

If you're interested, just get in touch with some information about yourself and some pictures (just feet). I promise to get back to everyone who responds and if you seem suitable I will tell you about myself and go through exactly what will happen to try to make you feel as at ease as possible in this most unusual of scenarios!

Hope this doesn't seem too weird to people. There is a big market for this sort of thing though. As a student just looking to make a little money to get by I thought it made sense to see if another student fancied this really easy way of making a decent sum of money in a short space of time - just by sitting down!

No friends / relationships over summer.

  • Thread Starter

My friends are all at uni and are staying until their housing contracts end. The few i do have here have full time work and aren't the type of people i'd hang out with on our own - i'd need a group as we don't have much in common (plus they're always busy).

The past two weeks i've let myself be lazy, watching shows and reading and games etc, but now it's getting lonely. I wanted to change this summer, to boost my confidence and get a date (i want to have a relationship before i turn 21 in September), but there are no clubs to join, i'm applying for jobs and that's not going well, and i don't want to go to a night club by myself.

I'm 20 and a girl, no idea how attractive i am but i consider myself average. I'm scared my summer will just be me staying in my house doing nothing and wasting months of my life.

Yes, this is a pity post. But does anyone have any advice? What would you do?

masterbation question

My partner masterbates. So do I. He does it because it feels good and I do it because it feels good.

The difference is he masterbates to other women(started this after he moved in with me) and I only think of him when I masterbate.

What does this mean. Am I more into him than he is to me?
