Last month, my wife started picking up a texting relationship with "Joe" who is a friend of ours. Joe is married and has a young daughter. My wife and I have two young children.
I busted her on this relationship because they had sent a combined 3,000 text messages and it looked kind of strange on our mobile phone bill. As far as I know, there has been no physical contact. He lives about three hours away.
We've been to one session of counseling. She turned to him because I was doing a poor job of caring about her feelings. I asked her to stop contact with Joe until we got all this worked out, but she refuses. They just chat on Facebook now.
She is hurting me so bad. I am taking the extra effort to do "sweet nothings" and yet she continues on with Joe. She says she loves me with all her heart, but I think she cares about Joe more.
I've threatened to call his wife and let her know what is going on, but my wife has told me that me doing that would end our marriage. I'm almost to the point of making her pick me or him. Right now, my heart wouldn't really be broken if she left.
