Is anyone else embarrassed by having a distinct lack of friends?

So I went to stay with my friend from uni this weekend and we went out last night and everyone came over to hers first. I couldn't get over how many friends she had. There were at least 10 people to whom she introduced as 'this is my really good friend.... ". At uni I have about 4 proper friends. These are pretty much my only friends. Depressingly I'm just one of many to them, they have all managed to retain a massive friendship group back home. I was never popular at school and only had 2 real friends, neither of whom live locally anymore. I get so embarrassed when asked if I've seen much of anyone back home this summer or if I've been out much. I expect I will not see anyone at all, I have 0 social life other than my uni friends. I'm so scared that when I graduate next year I will be left with no one!
