Who Pays For The Meal Out (In A Relationship)?

Hey Guys; Well, I was just thinking but, say you are going out with your boyfriend/girlfriend and you go to a restaurant, You then get the bill, who do you believe should be given the bill? I mean, with the whole equality thing going on at the moment, sometimes people will say it should be split equally, or the guy/girl pays for his share. Anyway, who do you think should pay? Or do you believe it should alternate between dates (girl, then guy, then girl, the guy again etc...) =l
