i dont know if i like him or not

There is this guy at uni who comes over and talk to me every now and then. I feel that he kind of likes me or at least want to be my friend because I can see him staring at me quite a lot from the corner of my eye. When I catch him looking he looks away immediately. We have some classes together. The thing is we are both Chinese studying in the UK. There are other Chinese people in my course but not a lot. I don't know if he wants to talk to me because I am Chinese or because he likes me. He generally is a sociable and outgoing sort of guy. I remember the first time when we talked was when I was sitting by myself in lecture and he came over and asked if the seat beside me was free and we started talking. Every time when I see him I get kind of excited because he might come over and talk to me. But when we talk I do not get nervous or butterflies. When I talk to him I feel like OMG he talks a lot about himself and its draining me. When I don't see him I kinda miss his presence. When he tries to talk to me I can see him hoovering about in my space, waiting for the perfect timing to talk to me. So do I like him or not? Really confused.
