friend or something else?

Hi, I recently started talking to this guy on face book and we talk a lot like sometimes we spend 4 or 5 hours just talking about random things and sometimes just flirt a bit, but it seems harmless. We talk in school to, and he always say things like only for you would i do this. I just wanted to know if this was a normal thing because i can be quite oblivious to things and end up leading people on when i don't like them in that way.
