| My boyfriend has been the best thing to ever happen to me, he is an amazing person and I couldn't wish for anything more. He has a two year old daughter from a previous relationship, which is no problem at all except when she calls me mommy, which hurts me for the simple fact that I cannot have children of my own. I understand she is only two and all women she sees as "mommy" I know she will grow out of it but I just need advice in dealing with this for now. Especially since we have her at least 3-4 days a week. I have been in relationships with guys with children, and have never had this problem with them calling me mom except by accident. Her biological mother has made it clear that she does not want her to call me mommy, and I respect and agree with her completely, which is pretty much the only thing I can agree with when it comes to his ex for the simple fact that she has basically thrown herself at him since she found out we were together. Sh e insists he go outside to talk with her when she picks up or drops off their daughter it just seems shady on her part. My boyfriend has made himself perfectly clear with her on what the boundaries are and she seems to disregard them completely. I trust him in the matter I just don't know how to react to all of this. I need help please. |
