| Right I've been going out with this girl for over a year, long time I know! Everything's great but I think she likes me more than I like her. The thing is that when I (hopefully) go to uni this autumn, what do I do? I'm guessing the fact that we might be going to the same university and also doing the same subject has a major factor in this. I would be happy being at uni with her, just I would feel held back on socialising with other girls when I get there and I won't want to not have met people because I've been going out with this girl at the start! Is anyone else in this situation? | |||

Girlfriend at uni, yes or no?
My boyfriend lied to me about a one night thing
| Hey, Basically me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 months and over the past week people have been saying that my boyfriend cheated on me and that he has been going around telling people about it but saying that he spoke to me and we sorted it all out. When I asked him he said that he had no idea what was going on and then told me he had spoken to the people that were saying it and that I didn't need to worry about it. This made me worry because I wasn't sure why people would say it and then why he would tell me to ignore it all. So I went and spoke to his best friends (he gave me their numbers knowing that I was going to speak to them about what was going on) and they said that there was truth behind the rumours. So I confronted him and he still lied. I forwarded the texts from his friends and then he started telling me more and more about the truth (only doing it because there was no point in lying to me about what I knew). We met up yesterday to talk about the situation and our relationship. He told me that two months ago he was at a party and a girl tried it on with him but he told her to leave him alone. Then he fell asleep and he claims that she did things to him when he was asleep and he was told three days later. I'm not sure if I believe that because he often has girls try it on with him at parties and he tells me the next morning and we have a laugh about it, but this is the first I'm even hearing about this party. I have told him that he is never to see this girl again and that we are on a break at the moment, so this is his chance to prove to me that I should trust him. I have also said that if he gives me any reason to not trust him then he will not be hearing from me again. I think he is genuinely sorry that he didn't tell me and that all of this has happened and he really does want to earn my trust and respect back. Sorry that this is such a long post, but the only way that you guys will be able to understand my questions fully is if I tell you as much as I can. So what I'm asking is, should I see this as cheating? I mean, he could have left if he wanted to. And should I believe that he didn't know what had happened? Also, anyone who has been through the situation or knows what it is like from either point of view, how can he show me that I should trust him again. And how will I know that this situation is past us? He is 21 and I am 17 btw. | |||

I don't like sex anymore
| I'm 20. And I just don't like it. I still have a bit of a libido, mentally at least (I fantasize and whatnot) but anytime my boyfriend makes things go that direction, I just feel uncomfortable and want him to stop. When he asks why I feel so bad that I can't give any reason other than I don't want to. It's really not just a case of 'not being in the mood' because I haven't been in the mood for months. We still do things, but only after I've worked up a lot of determination, and basically every time I feel just relieved its over and like I'd have been happier snuggling and watching a movie or something. I'm totally confident its not his fault. I realize the obvious answer would be I'm not attracted to him, but that's not true. I fancy the hell out of him and I don't find the thought of being with anyone else any more appealing. He's totally considerate in the bedroom and always tries to show equal consideration to my 'needs,' but I just don't feel anything. It's so frustrating. I know the problem is in my mind and my body, but I don't know what's causing it. Basically, that's my question. What could have caused this? I never felt this way a year ago. I don't know if its a stress problem (I have been under a lot of that) or a health problem or maybe a sign of some kind of mental condition. So far I've basically just been pushing through and hoping my sex drive would come back in time, but it doesn't feel like it is. Does anyone have any experience with this and how to deal with it? Most of the pages online I've found seem to put the cause down to middle age, stale relationships or childbirth. Which doesn't make me feel very good as a young woman in a fresh, exciting new relationship. :( | |||

boyfriends computer
| I have just discovered hundreds of picture of topless women on my boyfriends desktop computer, this even included pictures of a girl i used to go to high school with (but they weren't of her topless) and quite a few videos as well. They're mainly all pictures from blogs so it's not as if any of them were porn stars. I'm not sure how to react to this, its happend before and i've told him that it makes me feel unloved, unwanted and bascially as though i bore him, theyre much better looking than me and have much better figures. I dont know how to react this time after saying what ive previously said to him before. any suggestions. Thanks | |||

When you meet an attractive woman
| What is it that stops you just asking if she wants to get a drink or something? Is it shyness? lethargy? fear of humiliation/rejection? I'm curious. A lot of my friends will talk about x girl is super hot and great to talk to, but then they never do anything about it. | |||

what should I do?
| yesterday night, a friend of mine, out of the blue, tells me that this gorgeous girl in his year (they are 19, im 20) wants to meet me out that night (At a club where everyone was going) I quite fancied her but had no idea she was interested. Anyway, I was not planning on going out (did not drink anything and I hate clubbing sober) and so I told him to say to her that I don't like meeting girls (I think we never even introduced each other) on nights out, that I'm not that kind of guy. apparently this girl is normally for long term relationships, and I would really like to go out with her to see if it could work. what should I do? just go to her one of this days, introduce myself and ask her out for a drink or something? | |||

Saving to buy a house - tips/advice
| Hi all Not a problem so much as advice needed... In our house there is me, hubz, and our four children aged 9, 6, 4 and 2. Hubz works full-time Mon-Fri and I am a stay-at-home-mum. 9 and 6 year old are at school, younger two attend nursery and preschool on a number of mornings. Hubz is on a low wage, and money is fairly tight. We agreed I would stay at home until they are all in full-time school then go back to work. At this point it is not financially viable for me to get another job - we have worked it all out and we simply have to wait until I can earn over a certain amount which would be in full-time work. We can manage, we live a fairly simple lifestyle, we have a vehicle needed to get the kids to school. We are saving for a deposit on a house. After I looked at things and rearranged how we organise our money, we realised we have a little more left over each month than before. So we can put away a small chunk every month and have a rough timescale of when we can do this by depending on how much we want to save. We are desperate to buy! Our current house is fine, in a nice area, but we are REALLY cramped for space. The younger two share a box room (which is tiny), which we can JUST about fit a single and a junior bed into with literally NO room for anything else, but soon enough that's not going to be feasible and they'll still be too young for bunk beds. What we'd really like to do is buy a doer upper. Buy a cheap 3-bed in our preferred area (in which luckily houses are reasonably priced anyway) then when I'm back at work, look at extending or converting the loft space to add an extra bedroom. Buying a 4-bed would be out of our price range for a long time yet. So from those who've been there, what extra ways did you manage to save the pennies? I'm talking about areas in which you cut back, small ways you earned extra income (I currently do online surveys), how you cut your food bills, utility bills, any lifestyle changes you made to save up? I've read loads on my favourite websites but hearing from actual people who have actually done this (especially with a brood of children!) would be so insightful and inspiring :D | |||

Please help me
| Hi, I cannot believe i am writing on here...as i guess no one can when they first do...but i am heartbroken and have very little support. I will start at the beginning and try to put in the most important aspects of our relationship. I met my husband in 2000, he was/is seriously the sweetest, nicest guy. He was so romantic, kind, thoughtful, good natured and even tempered. We married in 2003, he was an awesome husband, i would come home from work, he would put out a foot bath for me, he would rub my back, cuddle etc There was no doubt in my mind he loved me. we decided to start trying for kids in 2007. It was hard, it took 13 months and sex became prescriptive. we were so excited to finally get pregnant, and my pregnancy and the birth of our son was the happiest time of our lives. After he was born, we thought we would straight away start trying again, knowing how i didnt get pregnant easily. Little did we know that it would take three years of fertility treatments, including IVF before i got pregnant again. Throughout that time, my husband remained kind, patient, positive, willing to have sex despite it completely lacking spontaneity or excitement. I made it obvious that i didnt really want to do it. He always made love tenderly, with whispers that it would all be ok. The day i found out i was pregnant again was so wonderful...well the first half was.... That afternoon i was on the computer and was trying to choose a picture for a profile. The computer automatically took me to a massive collection of porn. Nothing too scary but HUGE, HUGE amounts of galleries of women...until i started seeing pictures of some of my girlfriends. I have never felt so distraught. I sobbed, i had an anxiety attack. Who WAS this man? who was the man that EVERYONE loved, and said he was 'amazing' how lucky i was to have him. Even the fertility specialist would say how lucky i was. He seemed genuinely remorseful, crying. saying that the three years of trying to conceive were incredibly hard on him also (he always acted to strong!) he said that he needed to imagine someone else, just to feel like a normal male. He said it was hard being 'ready ' for someone who was going through the motions. He said he loved me so much, and that the reason he never told me he was unsatisfied with our sex life was because "you were already so down, i did not want to tell you i did not enjoy sex with you, and i wanted to perform' he told me he had started taking viagra in that time, that he had performance anxiety and that sex with me was very very stressful. He said he was sure he would stop and never do it again. How do you know?? i begged... because we are pregnant now, because i can see how much ive hurt you, i would never EVER want to do that to you again. PLEASE, he begged for another chance. I gave it to him. But i never really forgave or forgot. We have spent the last year and a half, trying to rebuild trust. I am constantly checking his phone, his computer, his iPad. i never found anything but still could not shake the feeling that he could not be trusted. In terms of his behaviour, he was loving, kind, thoughtful, considerate, he looks after my family, he is the most incredible father. He cooks, cleans and takes care of the kids. He adores them (now 4 and 1) and they adore him. He is seriously the best father. He acts loving to me, he will cuddle me, kiss me, tell me every day he loves me. He makes me coffee every morning. If i ask him to do anything he will do it. Except this one thing. I asked him to tell me the truth. I asked to always be honest with me, i said, even if you go back to porn, fantasies etc, i NEED you to be honest so we can work on things. Well, i basically have just found out, he is STILL watching porn. Still. Despite everything. He just got sneakier at hiding it. He would download a browser, check out it out, and then delete the whole browser. Someone like me who is not tech savvie would have no idea. I tricked him into confessing by saying "ok i have found out your still looking at porn, are you going to be honest with me or what?" anyway, he admits he went about 8 weeks - yep 8 WEEKS without porn thats it! the next year and half his habit continued. He tells me that he only looks at it every couple of days. We went on a holiday to thailand last november (2012) - he was his usual wonderful self. He is very friendly, much like myself. I saw him talking to a girl there. He did not appear flirtatious, he never has appeared that way. She was about 19 (he is 43). He confessed to me he masturbated about her. He also says he looked up her pic on Facebook (he is not meant to even have a fb account from the first time i caught him). He said he wanted to find her pic and masturbate from it. But because he couldnt find her, he masturbated over her memory. He says he would NEVER actually want to meet her, says he does not even know where she lives. I told him he needed to come true with every other sin in our marriage. He tells me that during the time we were having fertility troubles he dabbled in a sex chat. Not live. He emailed two women, in their forties, they sent pics to him, he masturbated over them, and that was that. He says there were about 3 messages between them. He said he felt 'weirded out by it all' felt that it was 'too close to cheating' and stopped on his own. He promises he has not done it since. My difficulty is, with all the lies from the past, i just DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE. He is willing to do anything, see a therapist, give me his iPad, phone etc...says he LOVES ME (does he???) that he does not want to lose his family. We are a lovely little family. We are all kind and loving to each other. We have great friends, and a great life. I have NO IDEA what to do? i told him 1.5 years ago, if i ever found out he did it again i would leave, i said if you feel tempted, then at least tell me and we can work through it, but dont you dare let me find out this is still happening. Now i feel stupid for saying that, because i actually do NOT WANT him to leave. I love him! Life with him is actually pretty great! I would like more sex, but ultimately, a couple of times a week is not too bad. WHAT DO YOU THINK? does this marriage stand a chance? is he telling the truth? do you think we can get through this or should i be leaving now? I am so sad, so scared. I cant believe i am even thinking of ending this beautiful family. But i just cant stand the idea of the man i love, explicitly fantasising about women he has and hasnt met. Even trying to contact them on fb so that he can look at their pics and pleasure himself. YUCK! I am sorry this is so long, and that i am so hysterical, but i need advice, i havent eaten in 3 days, my jeans are falling off me, i am struggling to function, to parent my beautiful babies, i am crying all day long. | |||

Paranoid of boyfriend cheating/ed
| Okay, I apologisie first, this is going to be a long one. When I was younger my dad cheated on my mum and it's caused problems for me ever since it happened about 10 years ago. I've never got past it. My first boyfriend in secondary school told me he cheated on me with a friend of his. My second boyfriend at some point during university confessed to me that he was starting to have feelings for one of his roomates (nothing happened and we were together for about 2-3 more years after). But that relationship fizzled out a good year or two before we decided to end it. My current boyfriend of 15 months has lied to me about the odd thing such as staying home when he was actually out with friends which we both agreed was stupid but this was fairly early on during the realtionship. He hasnt' given me any reason to doubt him. He told me he cheated on his first girlfriend once and ended up breaking up with her because he felt so bad about it. He did say that she cheated on him lots of times aswell and that they were on and off (they finally b roke up when she left him for another bloke). I don't know why but all of a sudden I've become paranoid he's going to cheat. He was friends with a girl who he had a thing for but when she got with her boyfriend and my boyfriend got with me she became jealous and started causing problems for us. Eventually he broke off all contact with her and we havent spoken to her since. I keep thinking that something happened between them even though he always told me when he was meeting up with her and never lied about that. There's no way I can bring this up without sounding accusatory espicially considering we haven't spoken to her or even seen her months since they broke off contact. I honestly don't know why this paranoia has come about and it's driving me crazy. | |||

Uni and boyfriend
| I'm in year 12 studying for my A levels and Uni has suddenly overwhelmed my life. What experience I need, what course I want to do and where I want to go. I am in a relationship and have been for nearly a year. I am completely in love with him, and I'm completely at my optimum happiness when i'm with him. He's what makes me happy. We've known each other for about 5 years now and he's practically liked me from when we were 11 and he's been chasing me ever since. Finally, I've let him in and we're such a great couple. He's aiming to do Medicine at Uni to become a doctor and I'm looking at doing biomedical sciences but I'm probably less academically able than him currently averaging at a C. But hopefully will achieve and A and Bs. I would be so happy if we could get into the same uni as him, but feel like it will be impossible: 1) I doubt I'll be able to achieve grades to get into a Uni that offers medicine. 2) Medicine is so competitive, he'll probably only get 1 or 2 offers at most. I realise that everyone says 'ditch the boyfriend before Uni', but I could never see myself We are a very attached couple, we see each other at school and see each other outside of school nearly everyday too. Basically inseparable. I feel that I need to be in the same city with him at least. I just want advice as to whether this is a completely unrealistic goal and that we'll never be able to be close to each other when we go to Uni? :( | |||

Hey I'm going to do something crazy
| Okay this post isn't going to be structured very well and most of it willl be mindless rambling intertwined with poor grammar. Nevertheless, Okay I am an 18 year old, Muslim kid (Pakistani/Pashtun) Lol and no this isn't a fake thread to make muslims look bad. Anyway carrying on, I don't really believe in Islam but I live in a family where I would be beaten to a pulp and kicked out if I told that to anyone. I also have a girlfriend we've been together for two years and I've kept it secret, however my mom has started catching on and I'm feeling the strain. The girl has also kept it from her parents but they would be okay with it if they knew, but she really wants to tell them soon. I want her to as well, and I don't think it's fair if she has to keep it a secret. However if my parents found out I would probably get a fair beating and be disowned. However I have come to a decision tomorrow morning that I am just going to tell them about it, everythin g, and see what happens as I'd probably get disowned...The fact is to be honest it's not about my girlfriend it's about the principle, my parents literally take the piss all the time, I'm barely allowed to go out, I'm not allowed to have any girls that are friends. Also the main thing is that i'm sworn at literally all the time and I'm called at times like 5pm to check on me and that I have to come home, if not they're going to pick me up. LOL I'm 18, I'm not even allowed the option to take a driving test until after university. Also after university they will want me to have an arranged marriage anyway, that's the thing, I don't want to prolong this bull****. They want me to marry someone pashtun then, we just came back from pakistan (peshawar) and the whole time all they were talking about was my cousin who got married to a british girl, and they were talking about him like he was mixing with a **** culture and stuff and how he disobeyed his parents who had someone planned for him. They also always say don't act white when I complain about something. It's piss taking. I just want to have a life, it's like I live two...one in college and one at home. My girlfriend is british too (muslim). They keep saying you better not do that. And my mom says if i do have a girlfriend she'd never accept her but luckily she hasn't figured out yet. What do you guys think I should do? Should I just leave home and have a life? My parents would feel devastated, everyone in my community would be talking about how I was a **** son and all. P.s My personal tutor has said she was able to sort out long term 16 - 25 accomodation for me if I decided to go through with it So it's just this choice...Do I do it? Devestate my family? My mom would be crying? I would feel like a douche? But the thing is there is no way to talk them out of the arranged marriage thing in the future and I want my girlfriend now and my own life so...Lol it must seem so ridiculous that this is even a problem to you guys, im like 18 and I'm not even allowed this stuff (By the way this is not an anti muslim thread, just a cultural one) | |||

Dammit! I walked away without getting this girl's number, regretting it! What to do?
| Okay, so I went to a shoe shop yesterday with a friend. He wanted to buy a pair of laces. Anyway, as he was trying to find the right laces, I said some lighthearted stuff to the girl and she was smiling and seemed really receptive. I know if I would have asked for her number then and there, she most likely would have gave it to me. My friend picked out the laces he wanted and they were priced at £1.49, so I said cheekily "will you sell them for £1?" and she said "Okaay, It's nice to make new friends" and I said "thank you". My friend paid for them and as she handed over the receipt, I said "Sorry, what is your name?" and she told me. I shook her hand and said "It's nice to meet you" and she replied "it's nice to meet you to" But I walked away after that and now it's fricking bothering me so much. She was cute and she had the nicest european accent. I don't know where she was from, but the accent was cute as heck. I want to go back there, but I don't want to seem like a creeper. Also, I have no idea when her next shift will be. The store doesn't get that busy to be honest, so I doubt there are many guys who introduce themselves to her to be honest. I mean, maybe there are, but the shoe store is a cheaper one and not many people my age go in there. Damn, I'm kicking myself. What do I do now, guys? I don't want to come off as creepy or desperate, but I also want to get her number. She could have a BF, but I'm not going to know without trying. She mentioned the "nice to make new friends" and she has a foreign accent, so maybe she needs to meet people. | |||

Relationship Over a Busy Summer?
| You know how it goes, so there's this boy.... It's been an on and off relationship over the last year and a half. We go to different schools, and he has work most days, and I have strict parents (school and family over all else), so we've only truly hung out once, and that was in October. Ever since we met, we have periods of no talking whatsoever (months) and then weeks where we talk incessantly, plan to meet, it fails, we say we're sorry it didn't work out cause we really miss each other, and then silence. He texted me a few weeks ago saying he misses me, and that he really thinks a summer relationship will work. (we both head off to uni this autumn) I had hope that things would work out, but now I'm a little pissed. We were supposed to see a movie a week ago, but he claims he had a hectic week and forgot. I gave him a harsh time, but he promised to make it up to me. (He also claims he loves talking to me etc. but then replies with "fair" and "truth" all the time.) By the end of our last conversation, I said we'll see, and maybe he could make it up. It's been a week, I ended up texting him again with a slightly passive aggressive text, and he never replied. What should I do, because I really like him, but I'm fed up waiting for him to figure out what he wants? Sorry for the long post, but I thought background info could be useful. :) | |||
