In-laws offered help in leaving

Last time we visited my Husband's parents a big fight happened between them and my husband. My husband was yelling and at one point asked me (ordered more likely) to pack our bags because he wanted to leave.

I said I wasn't leaving because I as an adult think we should sit down and talk. Also I was on my long waited vacation and didn't want to ruin it.. Anyway it was pretty bad and although we stayed the scheduled couple of days no one really did make up.

At one point during the scene My in-laws offered me help in leaving if I wanted to.. They said they would make sure I get home safely. They mentioned this twice.
I am foreign and in a case of divorce I would go back to my home country.

As though it did seem thoughtful at that moment because my husband was out of control when I think about it now it totally makes me feel unwanted in that family and it is odd to me that their first response wasn't attempt to help the situation but buy me one way ticket back to Europe.

If your in-laws offered aid in divorcing your spouse wouldn't that make you feel rather unwanted?
