Do people hook-up a lot at uni?

Hopefully I will be going to uni in September and I was just wondering how often people have one night stands and random hook-ups with fellow students? I'm female and totally inexperienced (virgin :rolleyes:) but I want to be free to explore sex at uni. How common is it for students to get together? How easy is it? I know I seem desperate haha :p
