(yet another) 'should I ask him out...' thread

Anon please :/ Well, there's a guy where I volunteer, and he's absolutely adorable, makes me laugh, I'd say we get on and just...yeah, but we've only worked three or so shifts together. So I barely know him and I'm back home for the summer. I've got him on Facebook (...not ideal haha) and we've talked a few times - mostly about where we volunteer - but only if I initiate it. In person, and sometimes in writing, he can be quite flirty and I go along with it because I obviously don't mind :p And there is the tiniest of tiny possibilities that he *could* be interested. But the not talking unless I say something kinda voids that a bit. If we weren't suddenly very far apart I'd be..I don't know, a tad more upfront about it (I don't mind being the one to initiate stuff). But I won't see him again until September and it's likely we'll be doing the same shifts more often then. So asking him out would kinda balls up that, as well as the fact that he could be very uninterested haha I don't want volunteering to be awkward, because we both love it :/ Soooo...advice? *flails about*
