Considering living with STBX after divorce is final? Pros and cons?

To give you background we have been married for 13 years and have known each other for nearly 20 years. He claims to have fallen out of love with me several years ago and I caught him cyber cheating in 2009 and wanted a divorce but didn't have the funds/credit to do it on my own. We stayed together for 4 more years and have had no marital relations in the past 3 years. I found out he cheated with one of my best friends and within two weeks found an attorney and filed the divorce June 28th. We are still living under the same roof of our 4 BR 2.5 BA house with 2 kids ages 11 and 16. (Our eldest is an adult in the Navy and moved out 3 years ago.) I told STBX I wanted a disproportionate settlement and possible spousal and joint custody of the kids with the requisite 25% child support and 50% of his retirement funds that I am allowed per law. My attorney filed and asked for all that and since he makes 3X what I do we are trying for a 60/40 settlement of assets. Today, I told STBX I wanted to stay in the house as the payment is cheaper than renting an apartment. We could still finalize the divorce and he pays child support and if agrees to it I told him we could put in the settlement that we sell the house in 2 years after our oldest graduates high school and it gives the kids time to adjust to the divorce and then we split proceeds after the sell and move on and our son and I find a two BR apartment and STBX finds his own housing. We are still co-parents and friends and I am not backing down about the divorce and I want the freedom to be out of a loveless marriage and date again eventually but feel like this is a solution to put the kids' interest first while we live like roommates and we aren't allowed to bring dates home. Any one tried this? STBX thought it might be feasible and I still get child support and we split the bills and house payment down the middle.
