What does this mean?

I sat next to a girl (who I didn't know) at college today and we chatted for a bit. I got home to find a Facebook friend request from her (I don't even remember telling her my name, so I think she must have asked someone who I was), and since about 4.30pm she's been talking to me. Whenever the conversation froze she started talking again, to get me to talk back. It's now half past midnight and we're still chatting. I really don't know much about girls, so have no idea what this means. Why would a girl I've just met be interested in talking to me for 8+ hours? She's really nice and I like her, but I just don't understand why she would be this friendly. Can anyone offer a suggestion?
