Hello, I am new to this community, but I thought that I would begin this thread to incite meaningful discussion and debate about the growing number of men which label themselves as 'incel'.
If you do not know, incel is short for 'involuntarily celibate'. Essentially, an incel is somebody that cannot enter physical relationships with members of the opposite sex for a variety of reasons. This can range from deformities and social disorders, but can also affect men who are incredibly intelligent and refined (such as myself).
The term incel has been coined to remove the stigma from being a male virgin, and silence those that would mock us for our unwanted affliction. We want to spread awareness horrors of virginity at an age beyond your mid-teens, and make people realize that us incels are not circus animals to be mocked in popular culture.
All the people I know have lost their virginity around the age of 15 or 16, so I have extrapolated this data to decide that anyone who is 18 + and still a virgin should qualify for legitimate incel status.
I would like to know your thoughts on this idea, especially the opinion of women, as we incels find female perspective incredibly difficult to ascertain.
