I think I might be falling for him again.
He broke it off because he didn't think i'd work out in the long run, but he still has feelings for me and so do I.
And I've tried moving on but I can't.

tl;dr - a guy started off talking normally with me but got kinda creepy just before he left and now has my number but I'm not interested.
I'm the type of person who talks to anyone and everyone so at the bus stop this morning I was thinking of starting a conversation with this cute guy on my left when this dude on my right asked if his bus had passed yet. Turns out we were on the same bus (the university one) and headed to the same building cluster so I asked what he was doing up there. He was doing aerospace engineering and I'm doing physics so we got talking about science and that. Turns out he used to teach physics 10 years ago (I'm 18 and he was probably in his late 30s) and he showed me some pictures of this telescope they managed to get at his school and we spoke about astronomy and that.
On the bus he sat next to me even though upstairs was basically empty and I expected him to sit on a different seat because of it but I shrugged it off because he might not know how little people get on at that time of day. He talked loads about politics and **** but his English wasn't perfect (he was Iranian) so I couldn't keep up. I have a feeling he might have had aspergers or something similar because he was talking to me about how he has amazing photographic memory and never forgets faces but isn't great with day-to-day things and he was coming out with all these politics figures and making me guess them plus he was really fidgety and a little 'off' with talking to me but I tried to ignore it. Anyway, I was fed up of the conversation because I wasn't really interested and when I thought it died down I texted my friends but he was sat next to me and keeping it going one-sided anyway so whatever.
When we were one stop away from my building he asked for my number to keep in touch (first odd/creepy thing he'd done cause I was definitely not flirting in any way and he was waaaaaay too old). I pretended I didn't hear because I didn't want to give it to him but he passed me his phone anyway and his body language felt a bit weird so I put in my number with one wrong digit. I hoped he wouldn't but he called it (couldn't pretend it wasn't on me because he'd seen it out) and I had to correct it. After he saved my number he googled my name (it's not English) even though I'd already told him it meant nothing and he mumbled something about not being free this weekend. His body language changed then and I started to feel really uncomfortable and kinda worried the only person upstairs with us then was a guy at the front with headphones. Nothing happened anyway and as we were getting off he said that if my course was ever doing a trip to an observatory or something I should tell him .
Idk what to do because the conversation started off normal and nothing more than strangers chatting to pass time but I'm really not happy about the fact he has my number just I didn't know how to refuse/I didn't want to because he was acting weird and I was slightly scared. The observatory thing at the end (he was fascinated by astronomy) makes it sound kinda harmless and just a lack of social skills thing but the 'not free this weekend' thing definitely isn't normal talk.
I really want to just block his number but I'm kinda scared because he studies in the building next to my main one but all my tutorials are at his. His comment about never forgetting faces doesn't help and I have pretty distinctive features so even people with normal memory don't forget me so I can't pass it off as a coincidence.
I just feel really uncomfortable about the whole thing (please don't tell me how stupid I was or anything, I've already gone over the scenario tonnes in my head and thought through what I should have done) especially because I don't think he was 'all there' and he gets the same bus at the same bus stop as me. I don't know if I should just start staying around my guy-friends when I'm back and forth to/from uni or what but most of them don't live around me anyway and it's not just lecture/tutorial times cause the bus stop is at the uni social hub which I'm constantly at and around :/

I know there's been several of these threads but hear me out guys.
The story starts off pretty standard, I met a girl when I started uni last year, she was in a relationship but we became best friends. Through out that time, I was sort of attracted to her in a more relationship kind of way but I buried that thought and got on with life.
She's broken up with her boyfriend in the last few weeks and now I am torn about this situation. I'm always thinking about her, less so before but more now and its killing me trying to weigh up whether to try to pursue this or not. I'm not trying to take advantage, we've been in constant contact and I've been looking out for her but I can't ignore how I feel.
I've thought about all the negative consequences such as ruining a friendship and she is also my flatmate this year but I just can't convince myself.
And I know how people suggest shutting her out but she is literally my best friend and we're in the same friendship group here at uni. Obviously she doesn't know and I'm afraid of the consequences if I tell her.
Probably the thing that is tormenting me the most is that I believe something could work and I just can't help but think that if I let go of this possibility then I would have missed out on this precious opportunity.
I just wanted to get all of this off my chest but I just don't know what to do

I have been in full time employment for 2 years now and I have just made a large purchase with a value of around £5k.
I am financially stable and can afford this purchase. However my parents recently told me they would like to contribute £400 towards the purchase.
However I don't want to accept this. I can afford this and I would be more happy knowing that I have funded 100% of it through my hard work whilst being employed.
How can I decline this without hurting their feelings? They have obviously had a long talk about this and wanted to do something kind, but I would be happier knowing that I paid for 100% of it.
Obviously I am grateful for this offer. However I want to be funding my own lifestyle and running on my own two feet. It's such an awkward position as I don't want to sound ungrateful or make them feel upset that I don't want what they have obviously thought long and hard about.

I have girls messaging me many times a day through the facebook chat, whatsapp and line.. and it's making my girlfriend really jealous.
I'm wondering what could I do to stop from all these coming to my phone? The worst is when I'm just showing her something on my phone and then some girl suddenly messages me.. They're usually girls from other countries so they don't call or text message me, just getting all them from the mentioned apps.
I know there is the "do not disturb" mode on iOS but this will also make calls go straight into voicemail..
What should I do? Or is my girlfriend just overreacting for getting so jealous?
anon. for obvious reasons.

Okay I brefly met a girl who was on another masters course at uni. I always saw her from afar, and managed to make brief conversation with her from the tube to uni, but not much more. Alas, timetables were completely different and she was surrounded by cock blockers, etc.
By happy coincidence, I was walking in the lobby at work 3 months ago and then bump into her. We're working at the same company! I said hi and she goes "Oh hey hi!!" and gave me a hug. She said let's catch up sometime. I quickly said, yeah sure, here I'll give you my number. She was with a friend so I said I'd text mine to her.
I texted her once in the evening to wish her well for the weekend and give her mine. She responded with thanks and an x in about 5 minutes.
I saw her again on Tuesday, (again she was with someone carrying lunch back to her desk - she works in a different division) and she smiled and flirted back (laughed and touched her hair, etc). Same again another week later.
I decided to text her about a catch up as I had become less busy. Didn't get a response. Met her in a corridor, but again she was with someone and didn't get a word in, just a smile from her and a wave as we passed.
Texted her again. But no response?!
In the end I thought ah this girl is not interested then. Then last week, I saw her again at the lifts, couldn't avoid her and said hi to her. She gave me that glowing smile and she is ****ing beautiful. She looks like a bollywood model or something. I chit chatted but again got cut short as my floor is first and out of nowhere 20 people come into the lift. When she talks to me in person she is very smiley.
Then just yesterday I found out from someone I met at drinks after work who works in another department that they were invited to her engagement party??!!!
What? So she was engaged this whole time? There was no ring and now I feel uncomfortable for flirting with her and a little led on. I also feel bad for fancying the pants of this incredibly beautiful engaged woman!
What to do?
