Should I Seek Help?

  • Thread Starter

Last night I watched a horror movie and this lady had her head chopped off this caused me to laugh hysterically:laugh: to the point of me almost wetting myself.

My family thought I was watching a comedy but in fact I get kicks from watching horror movies and seeing people having their heads chopped off:laugh:.

Do I need to seek help?

Another "reasonable or unreasonable" question

We used to live in a good sized city. 5 years ago I retired early, and we moved out an hour away. My wife chose to keep working part time in the city, about 2-3 days a week, totally her choice.

For the last 5 years anywhere from 1-4 times a month, I'd drive her in to give her a break. I'd run errands and kill time, then pick her up and come home. The total "away from home" time for these trips varied from 6-10 hours, depending on her schedule. Significant amounts of time were spent sitting/reading, obviously. She always enjoys me taking her, I always dread it, due to the amounts of time to kill, and discomfort of driving so much.

Backstory: I spent 25 years working out of a car in the city. I was in and out of the car 10 hours a day. I now hate driving with a passion.

Now she is also tired of the driving, and has dropped the "in city" job. However, there is a seminar she plans attend next week, in a slightly unfamiliar area of town. She could get there, OK, but wanted me to take her. We'd have to leave and 07:30; the seminar ends at 4:30 p.m. So, it would be a 10 hour day by the time we got home.

This time I told her I just can't do it. I'm done with it. She said fine, she'd either drive herself, or find an online seminar to fill this requirement. The online stuff always costs more, (I don't care) and is more boring.

Now I feel a twinge of guilt. Not enough to offer to drive, but enough to start a thread.

Reasonable, or not?

Spouse with HSDD...How to cope?

My wife and I have been married for 10 yrs...both of us have been married before. Everything about our marriage is perfect except her passion to make love. She has just recently told me she has no interest in the act of sex but still loves the affection we do have in passing kisses....back rubs...light touching but nothing turns her on. She has even went as far as telling me that if I want to have sex with someone else it was ok with her. She loves me and our family but the sex act is not important to her and she knows it's something that I need. Keep in mind she has been diagnosed with PTSD and has been struggling with chronic depression. Do I take her up on the offer to find sex elsewhere so we can keep our marriage together and our wonderful family? She is my world and it is driving me insane trying to figure out what to do. I read a lot of information about HSDD and I am sure that is what she has. Some couples do the "open marriage" and is fi ne with it. I spoke to her about it and she thinks she would be fine with me doing that and that she has no interest in anyone but me and that I would be the only one she has sex with when and if she gets in the mood. Please give your input..Thanks!

What are some of the sh¡t and fitness test other readers have come across? A list would be very helpful along with a brief scenario of how it played out. So guys, please help out.

Need some advice

I have been married almost eight months. After we first got married my husband was very sexual and wanted it all the time. After the first two months his desires kind of seemed to fade away. Now, when he wants sex, I feel like he isn't interested in foreplay, he just wants to put it in and get off......many times during the week I have asked for it and only gotten turned down. Excuses like..."I don't feel like it", "Not right now" or "I'm tired". I hate being turned down so much...Is this normal? What am I doing wrong?? Please help

Help

Do you think it's okay for your husband to text his female co workers? My husband just started a brand new job as a store manager for Sprint and two of his female reps already have his number and I have seen where they have been texting him on his phone. They are both in their early/mind twenties. Last night he told me that one of them(I'll call her V) liked the exact same music he did, is a video gamer, and he liked her as a friend just from the start. Later this afternoon I saw a book long text message from her...and he's not even working today. I sent this girl a friend request on fb two or so weeks back, but she ignored it. When I came to pick him up from work oneday last week(we only have one car right now due to financial things) he was just standing at the door talking to her and I waited a couple mins for them to finish talking. Another day he told me she paid him a really nice compliment and telling him how good of a manager he was. Am I bei ng to protective or paranoid here? I love my husband lots...he really is my everything but this texting all the time worries me. I need some advice :(

Girl Psychology.....

  • Thread Starter

A new girl (who is attractive) started st my place of work this week & a girl who i like (who knows it too, (its very complicated) ) comes up to me and says

Then she walks by again a second time and she says "Dont worry though she got a bf"

WTF?????!

She'll be talking to her about me i know that much, im confident of that as she speaks about me all the time to people (signs of being in a relationship without being jn one lol) But girls psychology is weird. What do i take from this? :-/

How do I stop being so paranoid about this?

  • Thread Starter

So to cut a long story short, a few weeks back I posted a thread asking how I should handle a guy possibly liking me when I not only was not attracted to him, but found him a bit annoying in conversation (I know that sounds horrible and if I wasn't paranoid he liked me, I probably wouldn't take such issue with it). However, I was speaking from a highly paranoid POV, having little experience talking to guys as well as thinking from a worst case scenario perspective. The problem isn't so much I think I'm so damn desirable no guy can help but fancy me, I'm just someone who's always terrified about getting into an awkward situation.

Anyways, fast forward to now; I bought a ticket to this event hosted by the drama society that I was really looking forward to. This guy is also in the drama society so him going to was always a possibility but I didn't want to worry over something so stupid so I bought a ticket. Now today I've found out he is going and I've went over all the bad things that could happen as a result of this-
1. (Unlikely) Because I've kind of been avoiding talking to him (in the most polite way possible), he may ask why or want to catch up or something; this wouldn't be so bad except I'm going alone so I want to try and meet other people; last time I ended up trapped in a conversation (i.e. I felt too scared of being impolite to go and talk to someone else) I really didn't want to be in and wound up not meeting anyone else all evening.
2. (Highly unlikely) He tries to flirt or worse, dance with me (it's WW1 themed and part of the event is teaching people the sort of dances they used to do).
3. (Near impossible) Half the drama society now know I'm a bitch that ignores people.

As said, I am fully aware all of these scenarios are unlikely but I'm seriously considering not going on the fear karma may come back to bite me for being such a mean bitch in the first place. What do I do here?

experienced an approach at the bus stop

  • Thread Starter

My first ever experience at a guy approaching a girl was witnessed at the bus stop a few weeks ago. Would have written this post then but was busy with work.

Honestly it was so much cringe. I felt sorry for the lad, he didn't do anything wrong he was trying to make normal conversation with the girl , nothing awkward, but what made it awkward was her total non interest in him. This was an Indian guy approaching an Indian girl and the guy even looked above average.

Then it hit me, all my theories unravelling right in front of my eyes, all my theories being proved right in front of me. All of them. Guaranteed if this guy was white the girl would have given him his number ASAP, guaranteed if the guy was an 8 or above /10 the girl would have given him her number.

They were both in the same looks league and he wasn't awkward.

Proves how much of a fraud confidence , personality and approaching girls is.

Lol I will never debase myself to approach and girl and let her get an ego boost out of it NEVER. I'd rather have my balls chopped off than to approach a girl anywhere whether it be on the street, at a club or a bar.

Now the girl at the bus stop probably has an ego the size of the solar system due to perfectly fine looking guys approaching her everywhere and she thinks she's a 10/10 model who deserves nothing short of Brad Pitt.

It seems I am the lone crusader against this fight against the inequality men face, I am a martyr who will be remembered and cheered in the future by men for sacrificing myself for the betterment of future men.

Not having enough sex

  • Thread Starter

So I met my girlfriend at university and we've been together for 3 years now. We used to have sex all the time, (around 5-10 times a week). I love her to bits and see her regularly after work for dinner and watching theatre shows et

After graduating, we've been living with our parents and got jobs and it's hard to spend time alone together, in particular nights together.

We can go out for getaway weekends and the like but I'm not keen on spending £100+each time just to have sex. Having said that we went out last weekend and it was amazing; if it was a bit cheaper I would consider regular weekend holidays.

Thinking about this for longer, I thought this would be quite a common problem for couples around 22-25 years old to have but couldn't find much on it.

Im really struggling to go from having sex every day to every 6 weeks or so (And at an expense too!)

Living together wouldn't be financially possible for at least another couple of years.
Is there anything that can be done other than to suck it up for the next few years? :(

Waiting - too much of fantasy films or reality?

  • Thread Starter

It will be our 4th year anniversary of being together in a Long Distant relationship this month.

having been in a long distance relationship, we hardly see eachother. Seeing eachother even once in 3 month = we would consider lucky. Many of our friends are jelous of our relationship, considering us as the perfect example of a perfect couple.

I just turned 21, currently in final year studying biomedical sciences, aspiring to become a doctor. he is 21, turning 22 in a few months, not entered uni yet. He has done courses that are equivalent to A/levels as he came into the country late. He applied for university last year for engineering, had a conditional offer but did not make the entry requirements in summer.
I think that not entering uni is starting to get to him.
As asians, our parents have high expectations of the son in law / daughter in law to be. I.e. educated, decent, good family background etc.

I will be completing my undergrad degree this summer, and so will be classed as a graduate. Whereas, it will take him time to enter uni, start and finish the course he wishes to study. However, studying is not his forte. And he highly doubts the likelyhood of going uni and doing well.

Problem: he is comparing himself as someone that i don't deserve. He is asking for a break.. so he can sort himself out. He said he will come and propose, and ask my hand for marriage to my parents himself when he feels he is ready. And till then, has requested to stay apart.

He is adamant about his decision. Ive talked everything theough with him.. but he refuses to change his mind.

Is staying apart the right decision? Is waiting for (max) 4 years doable? Or is it too filmy

Alone and sad on my birthday

  • Thread Starter

So I've woken up on my birthday and no one is here. I decided to stay with my boyfriend this weekend (ldr) as i thought we could spend the day together. Anyway, turns out he had to work. I feel a bit depressed opening my cards on my own. I know it's silly because birthdays aren't even a big deal I just wouldn't have thought it would be more special as it's my first birthday with my bf. Is it bad I'm a little bit miffed? If I'd known I'd be alone on my birthday I would have had it at home, where at least I'd have some family around.

Should I be bothered that my friend is homophobic?

  • Thread Starter

I've had this friend for about a year and she is quite a nice person, but a few days ago we came across the topic of homosexuality. Well rather she and her family were making a joke about someone being a lesbian but in a nasty way, and they well all laughing. So then I casually asked if her family were homophobic which she replied yes, and then I asked if she was too, and she said yes, without even hesitating.
Since then I have been slightly uneasy because I find discrimination against any group of people, whether by race, sexuality etc is disgusting. What's worse is that she's a Christian, and I thought Christianity was about loving one another but whatever (I just find it hypocritical).

Basically, I'm just feeling off with her. Am I overacting? I just think about the comments she made and her definitive answer of openly admitting she's homophobic, and it frankly still pisses me off.

dilemma! should I go on holiday with these friends?

  • Thread Starter

Me and a few of my friends are planning to travel to France for about 5 days from Scotland around Christmas time. It's my first time going that far away with my friends.

So far our little trip consists of just 4 people where there's two guys and two girls. Both of the guys have feelings for the another girl. Well all 4 of us are friends but then I'm just afraid I'll feel uneasy there. Of course the girl is gonna prefer one guy over another although she's really close with both of them.

I don't want to feel awkward between me and the other guy when we are forced to give the other two some personal space. I know I shouldn't feel like this because we are friends but I don't want him to feel like he is stuck with me just because she chose the other guy. You know?

I want to travel to France so badly though but I'm just scared I will end up not enjoying myself and wasted my money.
