| Hey all, I posted a long thread.. and it wont let me post the link, darn it! ..... It gives the background information and a bit of the trouble i've had. I guess you'll have to find it through my name if you want to see it. Anyway, now I'm completely lost and feel even more like I'm losing the man I love. I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me, or if I'm even "right" but I just want to fix this and I need some help. So long background story short, I'm 28 and living back with family while I finish up getting a degree in the culinary arts. My boyfriend is 31 and also in college, living an hour and a half away in another state. We met on Eharmony over 3 years ago, and up until recently I've never questioned things or felt he had any doubts. He and I also have been going through a lot in our separate lives, and its affecting our relationship. He just found his biological mom, and 5 siblings. (More about this is in other thread). I am so happy for him, and while I'm worried that they may hurt him in the process of getting to know him, I know thats part of getting to know someone who is blood related and came out of nowhere. On my side of things I have a bi-polar mother, who is very over weight and recently broke her leg getting out of the shower. My world caved in on me, and I'm only starting to see the light with this situation now. I've gone from starting to separate from mom to having to help her full time when I'm not at school. My dad has to work, and has no more days off to spend on mom. They help me alot, I feel obligated to help mom but theres alot of resentment and the relationship my mom and I have is rocky. My boyfriend doesn't understand it and I've found myself unable to talk to him about anything pertaining to my troubles with mom. Okay so Last thursday my boyfriend called me after work (11pm, he's talked to me every day since we met) and he was irate. His sister (the one he grew up with) was asking him for money, and from his point of view her husband wasn't taking care of her and sitting at home. He used me as his sounding board, which is great, but because he was already reved up, when I would ask ANY question he'd yell at me! It really hurt so I recoiled back and let him rant a while. Suddenly he said he didn't feel like talking and hung up. He's never hung up before. Okay so yes. I understand that entire conversation had NOTHING to do with me, and I've done stuff like thta to people I could trust too. But I always apologize later, and then get mad at them for feeling hurt. I've already been feeling a bit insecure, because this stress with his new family and sister have really pulled him away. Well, when he called back I was waiting for an apology that never came. I didn't say much because last time anything I said would get me snipped at. I'm not one to remain angry and not tell the person I'm upset with why.... so I texted him once the phone call ended. Apologized for being quiet and told him I was a bit hurt and thrown off. He acted like I was completely out of line, and apologized but it was followed by a "but..." . Anyway, long story short the three hour conversation led to both why I was insecure and that he essentially needed space. He never said any of those words "I need space" but he asked in text if I felt him calling every day and seeing me every weekend was a bit much. Calling every night I'm okay letting go of, but as I told him, even a goodnight text is necessary in a long distance long term relationship like this to keep the lines of communication open and to make me feel secure. (I've done that with my closest family too, I just keep in touch often to make sure they are okay). As for seeing me every weekend, I dont think thats a bit much. Yes its an hour and a half drive for one person or the other, but lately he's acting like that drive is just too much of an obligation. Since my last post, I've only seen him one weekend, and thats because I drove up to see him. We often go every other weekend because the trip is long and we are both in college again. School and life get in the way. But when a weekend is open to see him I go up there, he rarely wants to make the drive down anymore. And when he does, he acts like it was exhausting, doesn't even hug me hello.. just comes in, plops down and takes a nap. .... hello nice to see you too? :/ After Thursdays text session I left him alone. He really did seem like he just wanted "space", and I understand guys minds work entirely different about that than women. So even through my insecurities about it, I've let him go do his thing. Friday went by and no after work call came through. Saturday has now gone with no contact and I'm starting to lose my mind mid Sunday. I hate being scared to text or call for fear I'll bug him, and I want him to WANT to talk to me without me just being an obligation. What do I do? Do I text him and just say hi? do I wait till tonight? I am losing my mind, I hate not knowing what to do or what hes thinking. Above all, I really miss him. | |||

I feel like I'm losing my boyfriend.
Guys: Would you delete nude photos/videos if asked?
| Well, would you actually delete that stuff or would you lie about it (or worse would you distribute it, and if so, what would possess you to do that)? Someone I slept with had videos of me (I didn't consent to him doing that, little ****) and when I found out he did that I told him I was not happy - so he offered to delete the material. I was surprised I didn't even have to ask him, but I'm wondering if its typical for a guy to LIE about deleting nude footage of a girl. I even asked him to send me the video afterwards as I was "curious" but he said he deleted it, I still don't know if he's lying...can anyone interpret that? My biggest fear is that these will end up on the net, though this guy explicitly said he'd never share stuff of a girl that trusted him (err I didn't even give him consent to record me so it wasn't like he had that material because of my trust but whatever). I've spent everyday living in fear of this, I decided to tell the the guy I was really upset so he replied it was fair enough and he just confirmed again that he deleted that stuff. A reason I find it hard to trust him as I know he has videos of his ex-gf, and he lied to her about deleting their videos previously, but they have a lot of history and she was awful to him so maybe that's why (whereas I'm in his good books)? Interested to know what people would do in a similar situation and if anyone has opinions on what's going with mine and what I could do!...x | |||

Love and studies
| I am a first year medical student. Started medicine about 7 months ago. Took a gap year in 2012. The thing is I just can not concentrate on studies anymore. I am smart but medicine calls for hardwork and studying most of the time. I am in a long distance relationship since 1 and a half years and my focus is only on my boyfriend. We have 11 hours time difference and it sucks. I just want to talk to him atleast once during the day on phone or skype but most of the time it can not happen. I have to wait till night and I waste my whole day without studying or doing anything else. I have an exam on tuesday and I am sure i'll fail it 'cause I just didnt study? Any motivational advice on how to keep the relationship AND excel in my studies? or atleast not fail? Love is occupying my mind ALL the time! :( | |||

Turning the tables! HELP
| Hi, okay so today my boyfriend had a plan for us to go out and spend day together we've had it planned for a week, but last night he started working on his car, (doing this that dont need to be done, its just for fashion on his car) and this needed to finish it off today, he wasn't free until late on this afternoon ( half the day gone already) I told him would there be any point of doing something as we are both out tonight from 7, then after we spoke he seem to turn it all round on me like its my fault yes I was annoyed as I was ready for 10.30 for him to pick me up he didnt ring me till 2.30 but he then turns the argument on me saying he's too busy to see me now because he could tell i wasn't happy as its my only day off work today and I'm at college all week, although we see each other often today was going to be a nice special day? Does anyone else suffer with the tables being turned on them? Why do people do this?!?!? Posted from TSR Mobile | |||

I am in a dangerously bad place
| Hi, I need advice on what to do.I apologise for any typos in this post. I hvae a long history of severe depression and anxiety. 2 years ago, I was close to being ending up dead as a result of depression, I went to uni and I met a girl with whom I've been with up till now (I just graduated) It gave me a sense of purpose and security. I do not fall for people easily at all, but , once I do, I am so attached that a break up can be devastating. My gf (now ex) told me 2 days ago that she did not feel the same way and there was nothing I could to do change it. I know this sounds like a very common situation to be in, and it is for most. It's the way I am coping that is not quie right. I ahve severe depression and anxiet. Now I have no uni or girlfriend, I have no purpose. I am locked ina cycle of drinking and taking drugs in my room and I have not even eaten since wednesday at all. I cannot muster the wll power to even leave this place. I do not sleep anymore. I just keep drinkig and then knock myself out with as muchketamine as I can. I have no one else in the world to see. Everyting in my life revolved around how I felt for her and where it was going. I donot know what to do, but it is looking as though i am going to end up where i almost did 2 yearsago. sorry for the long post. but I feel my body shutting down. I canba rely move anymore. | |||

My friend shows me how truly shallow girls are!
| Anon or delete My friend is incredibly good looking. He looks after himself, he works out, eats healthy etc. However the way girls react towards him is astonishing! I've known him for years and its the same everywhere we go. Besides the whole eye-raping, girls almost go crazy over him as if he's some sort of celebrity! Here are some instances which baffle me to this day: - Girls with boyfriends constantly eye him up while they re with their boyfriends! - When I go into a shop the shop assistants that welcome you always look past me and welcome him...even though I went in first! -When I'm buying something at the till the shop assistants look at him the whole time! - Sometimes girls from behind the bar come from working there and stand near him hoping he chats them up. ...there countless other things like that as I have known him for years. It his not his fault he was born to look like that and to be fair he does look after himself but why do girls drop to their knees when a good looking guy comes into their vicinity? I find this behavioral very inferior and I have never done that type of thing when there is an attractive girl near. Why do girls do this? | |||

When does it come back
| A question but I'm sure others here have had similar complaints. I'll give some background first. I have been married 12 years to my wife and have 3 children. Although we have normal maritial issues such we had a very good marriage. Two months ago when she was extremely drunk she made out with a random guy. There have been no infidelities before this event. There was nothing else that happened as this incident was witnessed. We have read books, and are seeing a MC. We are back to full intimacy including sex, oral, touching, etc but I'm unable to make out with her/French kiss. When I have tried, I get a rock feeling in my gut and horrible memories. I think this is normal, but wanted to see how others have delt with his. It could also be how others delt with other physical aspects of a WS? | |||

???
| I used to like boys but somehow now I really am not interested in them. I actually think I'm a lesbian but I don't know how to go about it. I don't want to be judged and I'm just like any other normal girl, who loves makeup and fashion, even animals! I'm a school leaver and I feel happier around girls and woman as opposed to men. | |||

Advice needed please!
| I've been bumping into a male friend a lot just recently, we talk, have a laugh, enjoy each others company etc, things seemed to have gone up a gear lately and on Friday after a long convo he kind of grabbed me and gave me the best hug I've ever had, we kind of clung together for a long time ... It left me grinning from ear to ear and almost dizzy. It was lovely. I'm not sure how to proceed now, I have his mobile number but I'm not sure whether to text him or not as I'm not sure if we're in the 'friend zone' or not and I don't want to mis-read the situation and wreck a good friendship. It's also slightly complicated because he's not totally over his ex and I'm not wanting to get hurt again, we both have kids and he works away five days a week. Suggestions?? | |||

*advise needed*
| So i had 2 friends and a best friend, I got pregnant (I know i should be more careful) and ended up having an abortion because of stress, the guy didnt care and everyone else was bullying me about it, i also had some other personal issues. After all of this one of my friends put a status on blackberry saying 'I hope she gets raped' and 'unprotected sex? did she want to catch something loool' because me and her had an argument. Later in that month my other friend told the whole school about it and now everyone looks at me differently, it was only my best friend who stuck by my side and helped. A couple months passed and i have kind of gotten over the depression but now they want to be my friend and other people are saying i should forgive them, what do you think i should do? no harsh criticism please. | |||

My EX is not deserving of Mother's Day
| Many of you know my story. My EX cheated. I tried to repair. She quit her job and moved thousands of miles away. Has refused to move back because she blames her depression now and that Minnesota has so many wonderful things to offer outdoors. Admits this way of thinking is flawed, but still refuses to be closer to kids. Just purchased a home which disappointed me even more. Believes video chats twice a week must be good enough. All my friends don't understand how a mother could move so far away from her kids. I've tried to understand, and her initial move was supposed to be temporary so she can heal and "find herself". But dating others and the escape from her problems was too strong and she decided not to return. Every time I see a commercial or comment about Mother's Day, and how all mom's are so awesome my initial reaction is I want to puke.Really wish I wasn't feeling negative about this right now. I have others close to me (my mom, my sisters, my GF) who are awesome mothers. And there are millions more (many here on TAM) who are so deserving too. So it helps keep my perspective in check. If anyone should be celebrating tomorrow, it should be ME!! :p Yeah, I'm just venting. | |||

"Meh" about relationships after first one
| So I was with my first girlfriend for 2 years and we were both very much in love with each other but due to some problems we broke up. I'll admit because it was my first relationship I was quite clingy at times and really into the whole coupley thing. Now, though, I've been in two other long-term(ish) relationships and the spark isn't quite there. I'll really like the girl at the start but slowly I'll start feeling "meh" about it. In my first relationship I loved being with my girlfriend and spending as much time as possible and all those couple things but now I'm a lot more relaxed about having to be in a relationship and often times don't really care. Is this quite a natural thing to happen? I suppose the first one is always a little more exciting (for a while) because it's new. I've been in two 1 year(ish) relationships since then. Maybe it's because I learned not to be as naive because of how badly the first relationship ended and I was quite a different person. | |||

Husband is 65 year old workaholic
| First of all, this is the 2nd marriage for both my Husband and I. I an in my 50's, he is in his 60's. We have 4 adult children between us. He has always had his own Business, which does require a lot of attention from him, as he takes tremendous pride in his work and also thrives on working hard. I am a very lucky woman. I work from home and and am also the bookkeeper for his business. We have been married for 10 years, and his work ethics are no surprise. I assumed as we got older, he would take a little more time for us. I was so wrong. He leaves around 6 a.m., and gets home around 7 p.m., or later 5 days a week at least. He comes home, takes a shower, eats, and then gets in his recliner and usually sleeps for 1-2 hours BEFORE we go to bed. This is getting progressively worse. I know he loves me deeply, and is very good to me. I guess I thought my later years would be shared more with him. When I address issue in any way with him, he gets very defensive. It seems that the "right" time for us to have more quality time together, as he says, never quite gets here. I am running out of answers, Counseling is not an option, as that would take him away from work. Any suggestions? Thank you :( | |||

Discovered online video of ex-girlfriend?!
| Background: Around a year ago, my girlfriend of three years decided to break-up with me suddenly over the phone whilst we were both at different universities. She pretty much cut contact straight away without any closure and it took my ages to get over everything. She got a new boyfriend shortly afterwards who it turned out she met the night after broke up which was a further kick in the teeth. She never knew him before this night before people think she dumped me to be with him, I know this for certain. Now: A few days ago I got an anonymous message on FB from an account someone made for the sole purpose of sending me a link. The link was a video of my ex-girlfriend on a webcam stripping and making certain sexual gestures. I was thrown back at first because I have not spoken/seen/heard from her at all for over a year. I'm caught between whether to just ignore it or use this as some sort of revenge. I was cut up about how she treated me during the break-up. Post break-up, I texted her several times wanting a explanation for the the break-up but she ignored me outright and portrayed me to be a "weirdo" for pestering her. Should I leave it or use this to exact some kind of revenge? | |||
