So I was with my first girlfriend for 2 years and we were both very much in love with each other but due to some problems we broke up. I'll admit because it was my first relationship I was quite clingy at times and really into the whole coupley thing. Now, though, I've been in two other long-term(ish) relationships and the spark isn't quite there. I'll really like the girl at the start but slowly I'll start feeling "meh" about it. In my first relationship I loved being with my girlfriend and spending as much time as possible and all those couple things but now I'm a lot more relaxed about having to be in a relationship and often times don't really care. Is this quite a natural thing to happen? I suppose the first one is always a little more exciting (for a while) because it's new. I've been in two 1 year(ish) relationships since then. Maybe it's because I learned not to be as naive because of how badly the first relationship ended and I was quite a different person. | |||
