(19 y/o female, similar age males)
Time and time again I see or meet guys who come across as a tad too needy or intense and almost as if they care too much about how you perceive them and seem to almost alter their behaviour accordingly which is really unattractive.
These very same guys when I see in different settings such as with their group of guy friends (where I assume they think girls aren't observing them) and in their 'element' are infinitely more attractive when they are just being their witty funny banterous selves without trying to get some sort of validation.
The effect is noticeable when alcohol is in the mix, but as soon as you start showing them attention they become 'needy' again. Why can't they just be themselves???
What gives? Is it possible to prevent this from occurring and letting people know that they don't have to try so hard?
(apologies in advance if this comes across as conceited, I'm generally trying to understand what is going on here and if there is any way I can get to know the real 'them')
