phone listed as text on iPhone logs?

So WH got a new iPhone. When I check the AT&T logs it shows a TON of texts to a nonspecific number. It just says phone. Anyone know what is up with that? On his old iPhone it would have that listed every once in awhile, but since he got his new phone it is listed a lot. I thought it was data being sent in, but I just want to verify that. Thanks.
