Would it annoy you if an ex spoke to you everyday?

Exactly what the title says, obviously it would be new things to speak about. So lets say you dumped your boyfriend or girlfriend, and you then said the lovely and overused phrase of "I want us to stay friends" would you mind them texting you a few times a day or would it completely annoy you?
