Why do girls in relationships still try and get attention from other men?

This is way too common for my liking! I see it sooo many times. I see girls who have boyfriends/husbands constantly flirting and trying it on with other men only to reject them later and pull the boyfriend card. Why do girls still need that validation even though they're in whats supposed to be a 'loving' relationship? Do girls just naturally need male attention?
