Same Sex Marriage?

Hi, Just a thought that crossed my mind - Seeing as gay marriage isn't considered 'real' in the most part of the USA, if a same sex couple got married while already married, would this be classed as bigamy still?? Thanks in advance. Cgeorgiou23:)
