My boyfriend told his friends about our sex life?

Well only recently my boyfriend and I started having sex after almost a year together. After the first time, I asked what would we tell our friends. We came to the decision to not mention it but if close friends asked say the truth but don't go into detail. It's between us just. To me it's important for others not to know,it's personal to me and I don't like people knowing. However,my friends and I all were drinking last night and it was good fun. Then I was outside,and I heard my boyfriend talking to his friends inside. They asked who was staying over(we were in his house) and he said just me,and I couldn't hear the rest but a few seconds later I hear him say something along the lines of 'Yeah we had a shower together yesterday' which we did. I went straight back inside and stared at him angrily saying 'I heard that' and walked away shaking my head. He came after me and tried to see why I got annoyed. I was drunk at this point and said that we said to each other that we wouldn't tell anyone else,and he just said to his friends. I was very upset, but he tried to say that he never said we had sex just that we had a shower and that he wouldn't give any details. I was still angry over this and ignored him for the rest of the night. We got over it though once we were sober. But now as I think of it I'm still annoyed over it,and don't want to bring it up as he's having a hard time with family. Anyway, should I be annoyed over it? I doubt he'd boast about our sex life to his friends, I know he's probably told his best friend but not boast. But just hearing that is making me think he could have been boasting and I just don't know yet. What can I say to him,without hurting him by making him think I don't trust him. He is a very good boyfriend and respectful,but If he is saying about my sex life it feels disrespectful or something.
