Boyfriend wants me to be more dominant

pretty much as the title says, my boyfriend wants me to be more dominant in the bedroom, like controlling and he wants me to try our whip on him. Now I'm very submissive and shy in the bedroom I'm not at all comfortable with this, I don't really know what to do. Any advice? I'm really nervous.
