So confused! What is this guy thinking? He cheated on his girlfriend!

Met this guy the other night, me and my friend went home with him to SLEEP as it was 5am and transport home too long. Me and him ended up cuddling before/during sleep. Next morning we are still cuddling but we end up talking for hours, but his hands start wandering too and eventually we kiss a little bit (he started) but he seemed really reluctant to do anything... Then he admits he has a gf of 6 years! He has been saying all the time he never does things like this, then I find out why. He is American and he left to live here 3 weeks ago, so its a LDR, but only 3 weeks. After jhe tells me I stop everything but we talk another 5 hours then I have to go to class. But he said things like "i can't believe I fell so hard for someone this quickly"..Then he keeps texting me, one a little flirty. Then I ask him what he expecting from me and he said nothing but he likes me. I then replied making it clear I would not touch a man in a relationship... He the n replies 8 hrs later asking about my day, completely ignoring previous! I am so confused! Does he just think I'm an easy target? Trying to use me/get an ego boost? Pplease save the moral lectures, I know what's right and wrong and I meant what I told him, nor would I wish a break up on anyone. I just want to understand. How should I act towards him?
