What should I do?

So met this girl at school and we have been friends for over 2 months. I like her a I want to be more than friends but I dont wanna tell her I like her cause that might scare her off and I dont wanna say lets go on a date, cause the word date might scare her. I can say lets get dinner or something but she wont look at that as a date probably so what should I do?
