Should I go to this party?

  • Thread Starter

Basically it's this guys party tonight and we have spoken before yet I havent been invited when he has invited lots of people he has never spoke to (my sister).

My friend is saying I should just go and she will ask him if it's okay and another said he wants as many people as possible there. Although none of my really close friends are going and rather just close acquaintances with their group. I'm scared about getting left alone but still want to go..

So should I go? Ah

Help, how do I turn back on?

This is the first time I've posted anything like this but I'm desperate! I've been married to my husband for nearly 10 years (this year is our 10 year) we have two small children 3years and 16months. I've lost all sexual attraction to my husband... I'm just not attracted to him at all. I believe it's mostly because I'm not satisfied in any aspect of our life. We haven't had sex in about 4 months... mostly my fault I'm usually just too tired, angry, frustrated, not appreciated, worthless and bitter to be in the mood... I hate being this way. I do love him, and I think he loves me... But I think it's turned into a really crappy dependency on each other for survival... I can't leave because I have no money, and honestly I don't know why he stayes... Maybe he likes having a live in maid... I don't know... How do I get the spark back? How do I let go of my resentment? I've tried talking to him but it's like talking to a brick wall that's more interested in wo rld news and cat videos his phone then listening to me or talking to me...
I'm honestly at a loss. Do I just suck it up pick a day or two a week and pretend to want to have sex? And just get it out of the way, I feel bad. And I know he gets mad at all the times I've rejected him in bed... But he doesn't even try to turn me on, its just waking me up with his hand in my croch and when that doesn't work, it's my nipples and by then I'm just annoyed... Help I'm so confused...

I'm not gay or asexual but I'm beginning to find a relationships with women pointless

  • Thread Starter

Like, I can masturbate and enjoy it better. Being with a woman means being denied sex and sex isn't as good as wanking for me anyway. I have to share my ****, I love my place, but they will find some petty critique about a tiny bit of mess or try and make it like they want. Why do people have to treat you like you just stepped out of a leper colony for being single? I can't be ****ing arsed with them.

Someone was perfect for me but you were pre-occupied at the time

  • Thread Starter

I know that I can be attracted to different people, but there's not enough there mentally, or it's hard to get that real clicking thing. I think experience has taught me, and hindsight that this person was right for me. Great attraction, it felt unforced, natural. Only problem is other women in the picture at the time, and too many problems, financial and life problem, and couldn't handle the notion of commitment and thought by her advances she may have wanted a kid fairly soon, she maybe felt her biological clock ticking. But now I realise how much I liked and was attracted to her, how perfect the connection was, it was just natural. I could see myself living with her and can't say that for many people, well anyone really. I think that's rare. I'd love to know if she's gone off and had kids, or if she's still available. Basically I'm asking how to find her. I think she is private with web usage. I know her first name and profession vaguely, and where she works, s o it sounds easy but maybe she moved work , and she's not on the web.

Can anyone help me?

Quick Advice Needed

My wife and I separated a couple of months ago. I believe the proper term for it is "emotional abandonment" Several years ago our child began playing sports and my wife managed the team. It gradually grew into a travel ball team and i that point I was heavily involved. So after a short period of time I became manager and it became my world. I thought she was ok with the help she did on the team but I was wrong ! So after years of holding it in she finally snapped and told me she wanted a divorce. Of coarse there is more to the story but the advice I'm looking for is on this. We never completely split up and I been working really extra hard to understand how she felt and what I did. I know I did wrong and I am wanting, trying, and doing what ever it takes to understand and change myself from the person that made those mistakes. She says "She loves me but not in love with me" I know she is very hurt, confused and scarred. I recognize that she was hurting fo r several years and I'm not expecting to be forgiven in a few weeks.
So here is where I'm stuck now. I love her very much and very understanding of here feelings. I told her to take as long as she needed to decide if she wants to get back with me or continue with a divorce. We've made good progress but it kind of hit a stand still. I understand it takes time but I'm scarred that I may be starting to become bitter because of the control she has over my life right now.
Believe me I know that if I really lover and want her back , , , which I do I need to relax and give her time and space but my heart hurts and my mind is trying to convince it to man up and put my foot down.

So what do you think ?

When is enough enough?

I'm not sure where else to go at this point and I'm hoping someone can offer me some sort of advice. Please don't hold back, anything might help me right now.

My husband and I have been together for 14 years. I was 16 when we started dating. We have had our share of up's and downs as anyone who has been together through these years of finding yourself would know.

Unfortunately our time together has included a lot of pain and for years my husband battled with anger issues and unfortunately me being the closest to him, got the brunt of those issues. It all came to a nasty head about 5 years ago, and we both decided that it was now a stay or go situation. Well we both chose stay and went through counselling together and things got better. I had my best friend back. We had a daughter together and she is amazing, and our family together is pretty awesome. I'm pregnant right now and 2 months away from having #2.

The problem is that we have somehow completely disconnected from each other. I know one of the main issues is me and my sexuality towards my husband. Don't get me wrong, I am a very sexual person but there is so much pain from our past and now when he gets angry or exudes any of his past attitudes towards me, I shut myself up and I have a very hard time being intimate with him. He's a very negative person and after so many years of putting up with it, I'm just done. I find it very hard to connect with him sexually because of this.

He has brought it up many times that he feels I'm not sexually interested in him. We have a lot of sex and for me, it's not horrible. But for him it's not enough and he is bored and feels like I'm not into it. I try to get myself to not shut off from him, but when he acts negative and angry, there's nothing I can do to change how I feel.

We've been fighting more than normal lately and when we fight he says such horrible things to me and I just can't get these out of my head. In the past year he's told me that he hates me, that he hates being a parent, that he hates being my husband and that the child I'm carrying is a mistake "like everything else in our marriage has been". Then afterwards he'll brush it off like it was just anger in the heat of the moment and he didn't mean it. But I just can't shake the feelings that these things cause in me. I'm a very calm, at peace person and no matter how pissed I am at him, I would never in a million years say such hurtful things.

Now I am stuck in a place where I don't know if I can take this anymore, but at the same time I don't want to tear my daughters world apart. And let alone that, but have a new born baby while I'm going through a separation. I have no clue what else to do though then give up on this.

Please, any advice or thoughts from an outsider would be greatly appreciated. I'm feeling very lost and alone right now.

How Often Does Settling Happen?

We've all have heard of it, seen it in movies, read it in books. But I wonder in real life how often do people settle when choosing a marriage partner.

I don't mean "he isn't 6'3, but 6' is close enough" or "she's only a B cup but what the hell" settling. I mean the sexual attraction or truly deep love isn't there, but more of a friendly love and comfortableness.

I think I settled with my first wife (and she with me) in that way. There were times I was pretty attracted to her and really felt romantic love for her, but I'd say overall it was more that we were comfortable.

At the time I was young and thought that was what made a good marriage. People always said, don't base your relationship off of sex because sex always fades. (might this be considered Blue Pill? ;))

I'm back .....

Wife caught me on my phone checking my work email at 12:30 am.... Next morning she asks me if I am talking/texting a new girl.

I told her she could look at my phone anytime she wants. So she does and I get a eharmony spam email..... what's the chances of that?

She is still in contact with OW.... I asked her what they talk about and she told me we could talk about it this weekend.

When she still has contact with OW it makes me think of OW...

Therapist wants to see us both together now.... has seen us apart.

I think she likes talking to OW .... Therapist says she is a pladecater ?

I'm really struggling to as to try and work this out.... wondering if its possible... I do not trust her enough to go "all in" as you people say....

I'm sure she does not trust me either. I think if it cannot be fixed , by the time the youngest is out of HS it will be over...

I should plan accordingly .... it's sad but its been 2 months since D-day and other than me not texting OW and the two of us some what trying by going to Therapy and being nice to one another nothing has changed....

I know some have said "what if she found another, man honestly don't know if I even care.

Modern Manly Music

I like music--generally all kinds, but I grew up in the 80's which means I am a rock and roll guy. I also like new and original music. But why is it that the only aggressive masculine music out there now is either German/Scandinavian death metal, or Hip Hop. Nothing wrong with the either genre, but wtf happen to Rock and Roll?

Just go look the top 50 lists lists and it is full of touch and feely hipster, (dare I say beta) ballads. And there are regular hits from strong singing artists that perform from a feminine perspective, Pink for example (who I like), just like there was in the 80's and most of the 90's, but where has all the testosterone in music gone?

Any suggestions, before I retreat back into CD's that I bought 25 years ago?
