People have said am good looking but it just goes in one ear and out the other then I am paranoid again it's really bad. Am convinced people are judging me when am out and that. This is probably all in my head but it's just so hard. I will add some pictures can people give me there honest opinion thanks Jordon :).

Do believe this is right about women?

  • Thread Starter

Read somewhere that if you confess to a girl that you like her and her response is anything but I like you back, she doesn't like you in that way.

Said that to my friend and he said that's not true, thing is when he told a girl that he liked her she said "maybe in the future" and when i said to a girl I liked she said "ooooooh i dunno what to say to that" I mean I've had no experience in this field whatsoever but I know something was up. We were both knocked back.

What's your opinion?

The problem of lolicon

  • Thread Starter

I don't know if any of you guys has heard of lolicon? If you hasn't then it's just basically hentai but instead of featuring adults, the main characters are girls (teens, tweens whatsoever)
My boyfriend told me that he doesn't like watching porn but he prefers watching lolicon. I didn't really do any research about lolicon so I just assumed that it is a kind of hentai. It's anime so it didn't bother me really much until today I found out what lolicon really is. That type of anime is even banned in several parts of the world :S
I asked him if he knew it is banned and everyone would think he is a lunatic insane sick person. I didn't really say I don't like it but I do feel weird and kinda sick about him watching that type of anime. He is now mad at me and I have no clue what to do. Can I just break up because of this? Or I'm just overreacting and should leave it because that is his personal taste (:S)?

Having a near-suicidal girlfriend whilst revising for my A-levels..

  • Thread Starter

Me and my girlfriend are 17, and are in a long distance relationship. She lives about 4 hours on the train away from me, so despite the fact we have been together for nearly 5 months, I can only see her maybe once a month...

Anyway, so we are both in Year 12 and currently meant to be revising hard for AS level exams which start in like a week (oh god), and she is very depressed. I have been finding it pretty hard to stay motivated, but she is feeling much worse than me... Her depression had got better over the past year or so, but the lead-up to exams has been so tough for her, and I usually have to spend at least 2 hours every night on the phone to her or on Skype to her to make sure she is okay and she doesn't end up self-harming.

I really want to help her, and we are both very serious about the relationship.. and in my opinion, she is kinda more important than exams. Although I constantly hear people saying that you should put your exams and your life/career/whatever first, I can't help but want to put her first.

This means I have to give up quite a lot of my revision time for her, and also sometimes I cannot concentrate on studying just because I can't help but worry about her.. I really hate seeing her this upset, especially knowing that you can't be there physically when she has urges to do something like self-harm :/

So I'm not really sure what to do a lot of the time.. one time I told her I couldn't talk to her for a few hours so I could focus on revision, and when I talked to her afterwards, she told me she'd had a panic attack and cryed by herself all night, and I felt so bad. Some nights she is okay, but I can very rarely predict when these feelings are going to occur..

So yeah... :$ if anyone has any advice on how to help or what I should, that would be great!

Also, before you comment, please understand that mental illness is not something people can easily control.. it is not just exam stress or her being clingy, it is a real medical condition, and it isn't her fault.

Thank you!

Is Monogamy important to you?

  • Thread Starter

For most couples these days monogamy is no longer important. We are living in a progressive and free thinking soceity, I personally find this refreshing and hope everyone in the future will be non monogamous. Is monogamy important to you? If so why? If not why not? Discuss.

When did you realise that a person's personality outweighs their physical appearance

  • Thread Starter

Sometimes when we see someone who's very good looking, we may become instantly infatuated towards them but to some, this wouldn't be enough; character is also important thus negating their instant attraction towards that attractive person's physical appearance. It seems that maturity is one of the reasons that some people can just negate that instant physical attraction.

When did you realise that a person's personality outweighs their physical appearance?

Is it reasonable if i dont want my bf to be involved with my hobby?

  • Thread Starter

I broke up with my ex 2 months ago and have a new bf. He wants to come to my sports club and watch me train (i go 3 times a week) but id rather him not because my ex is there training too snd i dont want to upset my ex (whether it would or not ive no idea). My ex coaches me sometimes too it would just be awkward. Plus im not as good as the others and get embarrased with people watching me.

Is it reasonable to tell him i just dont want him comming to watch me?

am i the only one like this?

  • Thread Starter

I realise that everytime i like a guy, i lose my identity in the process. I begin to like things he likes and do things he does. When i fall out of love, i become empty again like there is no one to tell me what to "like" anymore, and it kinda feels good. But of course, some of the things i begin to like because of them i still do continue liking it (for example rock music, despite my love for classical music too) but alot of things though i just realise i don't like them anyway.okay my main worry is i think i am too easy to lose my identity when im in love, but maybe thats the way to discover my real identity? Do you get what i mean here?

Do girls like being 'picked up'?

  • Thread Starter

So do girls like being chatted up in public my guys? How would you react if a guy came up to you and started complimenting you and invited you out for a coffee when you've never seen them ever before?

Basically, do girls find it weird or so they respect the guys boldness and confidence?

Is he worth caring about?

  • Thread Starter

I've got a guy friend that's been texting me everyday for the last couple months. He started off being nice to me but lately he's been quite mean. Like if he's ill, he will tell me and I would worry about him. But if it's me, he doesn't care.

I asked him about it as he said something that upset me recently and he didn't care. He said he has better things to worry about - I know what and I have things in my life to worry about too. He said he is always mean/sarcastic to everyone and if he was nice to me then he would be worried cos he's only nice to people he likes.

The thing is I have a sarcastic personality too and make jokes. But I also am nice and can care. To me, friendship always meant u care about the other person.

I dont even know if this is a man thing or even if I'm just expecting too much from a friend? Any advice? Be as blunt as u like as I feel really down and wish I don't care for people as much as I do :S I feel pathetic

Where should I draw the line?

  • Thread Starter

I'll try to keep this short so here it goes, I've been in a relationship for 5 years. My boyfriend is lovely or was rather. At the beginning we were both rebounds for one another and the relationship was good it was just fun and light hearted. As the years went on we stuck by one anther and it became less about getting over other people and more about us being together in a relationship and soon enough love began to sprout where I thought it could never happen. It was a different kind of love not the butterflies in your stomach-can't stop thinking about each other-can't live without each other kind of relationship. Instead it was more about feeling secure and comfortable. It was a new experience for me and I felt a lot happier than what I had in other relationships where I was too clingy and got treated like crap. It was all good and my admiration for him being different grew.

One of the problems we had was that it was a long distance relationship, he lived 70 miles away from him and I used to have to take long train journeys in order to see him. This was solved when he moved closer to me and got a job nearby. We were much happier together there was less strain on both of us and we got more time together and this continued for a year and a half until he fell unwell with a hernia and was left unable to work. He was living on sick pay which covered his rent and his food and basics was being covered by money he had from working but of course that eventually began to run low. We discussed the situation and he was loving and kind as always and said he would use his savings to stay near me and he's use it until it all dried up. I laughed at it but said it wasn't realistic. We both agreed that he would eventually have to move back to his parents house but that wouldn't be for another few months. So he goes back to his dads for the weekend to get a sick no te from his doctor (you have to get a new one of these every month and his doctors were still the one he originally had whilst living with his parents). Whilst he's there he had this great big massive fight with me and then comes back saying he's handed in his resignation at work and his notice to his landlord. I was so distraught because all this time he was saying something completely different and it turned out his dad convinced him to do it. I felt so heartbroken that all it took was a few words from his dad for him to just go and make a massive decision behind my back. I felt like he should have discussed things with me because it was our relationship and him loving back will affect me because it means I will have to travel there to see him.

More than that our relationship has gotten to the point where it's just toxic all we do is fight. There have been incidences of physical fights I've hit him, he's hit me. Now that he's moved back he barely talks to me anymore he hardly ever texts me and just sits on the Internet all day playing games talking to his Internet friend which he seems to have the time and energy for.

I just don't know what to do anymore, we can't discuss things because he doesn't want to talk and I want to talk to help solve things but he just thinks I'm attacking him all the time. He won't talk about it on any level I've tried so many times. I feel like his dad has own and taken him away from me. I hate him for moving away without discussing it with me maybe I could have done something to help him financially. He treats me like S*** he even called me 'the S*** on my shoe that I can't get rid of' he's always telling me to leave him alone and I don't even know if he loves me anymore. Do I deserve better? This is really getting me down :(

Unsure whether to tell a one night stand

  • Thread Starter

I am six weeks pregnant and not with the father of the baby.
I want to know if guys prefer to know they've gotten someone pregnant even if the girl isn't sure what she's going to do, or would you prefer not to know.
I've been thinking over it for a week and I am still undecided. I wasn't going to tell the guy because I didn't know what I was going to do but now I'm stuck.

Favorite TV show, and WHY???

Ok, I was born in 1965.

Every day after school, my FIVE brothers and sisters and I watched "Dark Shadows", "The Flintstones", "The Addams Family", "The Munsters", "The Andy Griffith Show", "The GONG Show" () "MatchGame '75" with Gene Rayburn (or whatever year it was!) among others.

Not to discount any of the younger set who watched "newer shows" after school... what were your favorites, and WHY???

My brothers, sisters and I watched a "regular" lineup after school. (When cable programming was "2 through 13")

Here's one of my faves: (Because it reminds me of a happier, more "innocent" time in my life...)

Gilligan's Island EXTENDED version...

And, here's a "newer version" after the show became more popular...

Financial Responsibilities and Marriage

Hello, my name is Bill and I am hoping to get some opinions on some issues I am having in my marriage. I love my wife very much and we have a perfect marriage with the exception of a couple issues that we just cant seem to see eye to eye on. I am 38 and my wife is 41. I have 2 children who live with me part time. Her children are grown and on their own. I lost my job unexpectedly (nothing I did wrong, victim of circumstance) but before I lost my job, my wife and I had been building a home based business. We began by selling products online but it had a few spin offs that seemed to do really well. My wife continued selling products and I started doing graphic design and printing. When I was employed and even before my wife started selling online (with any significance financially), we lived on my income alone. She had moved back from florida and we decided she was going to be a housewife. Since I worked outside the home, she took care of the house work. Wh en I lost my job, we werent really making enough to replace my income but we decided to give it all we had and attempt to grow our business to a point where it would support us. As I said before, we were doing 2 different things but ultimately working toward one goal. We receive payments through our own respective paypal accounts. At one point, all the money we earned kind of went into one big pot but one day she had kind of a "my money, your money" attitude. I really didnt think much about it and just kind of let it go. That started a definitive separation of the funds and it just got worse from there. Now, I am finding myself paying all the bills and if I even think about her money being available to pay bills, she gets furious. It has now come to the point where she has told me "I will do whatever I want with the money I earn and I dont care what you think". One particular issue came about the other day when she decided to have a website built for her business. I built my website on my own because I couldnt afford to pay to have it done. She was totally against the website originally telling me I was wasting my time. Now that it is done, it is generating money daily. Not tons of money but definitely worth the time invested. Now that she sees this, she has found someone to build a website for her and is going to pay $400 to have it done. I know $400 is cheap to have a website built but I felt she should have offered to help me pay the bills that she sees me stressing out over getting the money together to pay. She took extreme offense to my way of thinking. Am I wrong for thinking this way? Are finances divided in most marriages? Do most husbands and wives have "My money" "Your money". And should one of the adults be responsible for all the bills while the other does whatever they want with their money? This is just one issue of a few we are having but the mindset she has on this is pretty much standard for anything else similar. Another issu e is that she speaks horribly to me, so mean and hateful. I brush most of it off but Im human. If I speak to her in the wrong tone or raise my voice at all she tells me "you need to lower your voice and watch your tone". Then later, because I may have raised my voice or gotten upset, she says I have no respect for her and treat her horribly. Just looking for another point of view.
