Basically I am a standard university student. 20 years old in my first year and it suddenly occurred to me that it will be coming up to 5 years of me being alone. I am usually not the kind of person to get "down" about things but it really struck a chord with me and it has thrown me off all week, simply the fact I have not met anyone at university or in my new town that has been remotely interested in me. I have been on a couple dates Via various dating websites/app's and I am no stranger to dating at all. But I feel like an angsty teenager in the way I just feel like there is no one out there for me.
I have signed myself up to practically every society and met lots of lovely people don't get me wrong. But I feel like after being alone for so long that my appeal is just gone. I am generally one of the "Louder" types, so being shy at all is not an issue.
I never really thought about it beforehand since I had a room mate who was basically like my best friend so I guess he was technically an alternative. But sadly he dropped out so I am dumping my thoughts onto TSR instead.
What would you do if you ended up single for 5 years? One night stands and flings do not really interest me at all so I'm not going to go pull on a night out if you are thinking that, since it'll just leave me feeling worse.
Was just looking to vent + Ask for peoples opinions on what they would do in my situation, so thanks in advance guys and gals!

I am lost for words. Me and my girlfriend have been together for a while and we plan to get married either next year or the year after. I am Hindu and she is Christian. Today we both met after work and was going to travel near her house to go to church (she asked me if I would come for 2 hours there cause of special event, asked me 4 weeks ago). Whilst doing some shopping after I said to her I am tired and honestly don't want to come. I asked her would you be mad if I said no, and she said no.. But could tell she was angry! Apparently this church thing she put my name down with hers because she wanted me to come. I decided not to go and then on the phone she said we are over, your not reliable etc. she said I swear on your life and my parents life. Guys, what do you think? Have I honestly honestly done something really wrong?? Please help!!

I'm a current graduate. I was with my boyfriend for a year and i have never felt so strongly about anything in my life... It was incredible. (21st birthday trip to Paris, weekends in little wood stove heated cottages) We were due to move in together but I found out he'd been messaging another girl innapropriately my and broke it off. Then I realised I'd made a mistake and said we should try again. He then didn't want to but I pursued him and we got back together in November. He's been very reserved - not seeing much of each other etc... So we had a talk tuesday and he took a few days to decide what he wanted. He rang me tonight to say we're going to make it how it was and I said yes... The year we had together was the best feeling I've ever had in my life.
Meanwhile, when we weren't so good, I applied for medicine, got a place and need to go miles away (he can't.move). He has no idea.
What do I do?

I've been told I am good-looking, I think I dress well, but I only think I'm decent looking. The thing is, I've had acne from the age of 12 to like 18, and obviously I weren't around girls much during that period of my life because of my insecurities. FYI, I'm South Asian (20 years old), and I've been brought up alongside other South Asian (Muslim) girls, who aren't open to sexual relations etc, so getting girlfriends/flings were tough.
I just find it so hard to get along with girls in general, even friendships. I'm great at flirting via texting/whatsapp, but I just find it so hard to flirt face to face because I'm so self-conscious that they're looking at me. What am I meant to do?

She said she was in love and I couldn't see I was. I was. I sent her a cock pic after she kept being ambiguous about my attempts to reconnect and she continues to ignore me. I can't believe I still tried, is it fair to say this is a dealsealer even for someone who came back online to look for you and attack you for not seeing love between the two of you. By dealsealer, I mean the cock pic meant no more contact, and changed her perception of the whole thing?
Is that a real ****ty thing to do?

So, after browsing through several threads, i've come across a somewhat simplistic method of defining men of either being an 'alpha' or 'beta'.
One of the main points, as it appears, seems to be that an 'alpha' will be confident despite any sort of complexities belonging to the state of the relationship between male and female (the distinction between 'alpha' and beta' doesn't seem to be any clearer as it comes to same-sex relationships). The reverse of that has also been speculated to be a defining feature of 'beta'.
What are your thoughts on this 'alpha' and 'beta' distinction?
Is it coherent and can it adequately satisfy the characteristics of men into two camps?
Or are those who endorse that distinction, male and female, relying on a less sophisticated account of people in regards to romantic relationships?

Hi all,
Some background info first;
I'm in my first year of university and my girlfriend is also in her first year but at a different university. We're in an LDR.
We've been going out for about 6 months now and she mentioned she was bisexual at the start of the relationship, I was a bit shocked at first but soon didn't mind and I've been happy with her ever since.
We've been discussing her sexuality recently and she says she wonders about being with other girls, here's where my problem is.
I'm really not sure how comfortable I am with her having sex or getting off with other women. I don't want to restrict her from experimenting with girls but I'm worried if she did experiment she might change her mind about me because I'm a guy.
I'm worried mainly about her and other girls and not men because (this is going to sound stupid) they can give her what I can't.
I reaaaaaly like this girl but this is really bothering me..... can someone help me put my mind at ease?
It would be really helpful if other bisexual girls could comment on this thanks :)
