I feel disgusted and guilty

  • Thread Starter

This might be the wrong forum but I need to be on anon. This is embarrassing.
I've been trying to give up porn and masturbation because I used to do that quite a lot. I managed to give up for a few months and during my giving up period I felt withdrawal symptoms. I was craving to go on porn and use that to facilitate my masturbation for so long. I was feeling restless, angry, moody. I was even feeling insomnia. I felt that I needed to masturbate to get to sleep. I controlled this by locking my phone and laptop in another room to prevent me from watching porn.
After around 3 months I couldn't take it any longer. I was alone in my room and a girl I find really attractive in Uni uploaded a picture of her self in a mini skirt. I couldn't resist it. I got an erection and then I started to masturbate. When I was doing it I was thinking I don't want to go all the way, but then after a few seconds it happened. I felt the biggest sensation I'd ever felt and so much came out. Probably five times more than normal. I had to clean my laptop afterwards.
Well now I feel really guilty about myself for giving in to myself. I failed my challenge and I was doing so well. Is there any escape from this? Ever since I gave in I've been doing it again once every couple of days. I feel like a drug addict that keeps giving in. I want an escape. I want that Nirvana.
I don't want anyone to respond telling me to masturbate because I get the choice whether I want to or not. I have personal reasons for why I want to give up completely and would prefer not to reveal them. The purpose of this thread is for anyone willing to give me help to help, not a debate whether masturbation is right or wrong. I don't care if other people are masturbating. Do it all you like as long as it doesn't affect me.
Sorry for this thread but I need to post it. I feel evil and depressed now by the way.

Would you marry her knowing that she has had multiple boyfriends?

  • Thread Starter

I realise that everyone makes mistakes, things always don't work out, everyone matures etc. But, personally, I just can't imagine how I'd settle with a girl knowing that she has had multiple bfs. And will always remember her first time with another guy etc.

Adverts like this:
http://ift.tt/1zHpDqd
Just makes you question it more.

Is this what society wants? Multiple intimate relationships, one night stands.
Why can't that moment just be between two people for the rest of their lives?

Or is that too much to ask, unfair and unrealistic in times like today?

Also those who say yes:
Would you then be alright with her being in contact with them? E.g. FB friend

Note: For girls reading the thread everything would be vice versa. (Would you marry him knowing that he has had multiple girlfriends?

Ending a relationship

  • Thread Starter

Hi all,
I broke up with my boyfriend on Monday in person and it was very difficult as he sobbed and sobbed. He's such a lovely person but I just didn't feel the same way about him as he did about me. This might sound dramatic but I just cannot get the image of his tear stained face and quivering lip out of my head and it's making me feel awful.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Regards,

Alice.

Went out with a guy, kissed him goodbye... on the cheek... he looked strange...?!

  • Thread Starter

Dear TSR. I feel I have committed a cardinal dating sin of some sort... Long story short I'm a girl who went out to eat with a guy who asked me out a week ago. We'd been texting for a while, so him asking me was a step I'm glad he took. He dropped me home and we had an awkward "I enjoyed myself" blah blah moment. It went on for around 2 mins, felt like an eternity but in a good way. Like we were both soaking up how much we'd enjoyed ourselves. Difficult to explain. Anyway, he was smiling... Almost as though he was expecting something. I thought he'd make a move but he didn't and it was really dragging on. Not that I didn't want to sit in the car with him, I just felt like something should have been done at that point. So I said something funny as I opened the door, then leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

THE LOOK ON HIS FACE. It was like he was taken aback. But not in an angry/disappointed WTF way. More of a "u wot" way. I can't explain it. He knows I'm reserved so there's no way he'd expected me to start sucking him off or anything. I felt horrified that I'd done it. I'm not a girl who goes out a lot with guys and this was my first proper date. Did I do something wrong? Should I have kissed him on the lips? Was the cheek thing juvenile? It just seemed fitting... Ugh. He has texted me since but he didn't mention it. Should I? I want to garner a range of views. Boys and girls. Thanks guys.

Have I loved this guy ever since I was 12?

  • Thread Starter

To Mods: Please keep this anon as it is far too embarrassing.

I used to attend a youth club after school (sort of by force by my parents) and I used to really enjoy it at the beginning. I was 12 at the time. I made a handful of friends whose company I quite enjoyed. However, there was this guy who was (well still is) 5 years older than me and so was 17yrs at the time. You could say that it was love at first sight because I stopped him first whilst he was talking to his friends and I couldn't even see his face but I was hooked! It was as if there was a magnetic force pulling me towards him, I just couldn't take my eyes of his amazingly curly hair.

Fast forward a couple of weeks of me being in the club and he finally spotted me. His eyes would always look in my direction and whenever I looked in his, he would just stare at me with an intense gaze which always made me look away instantly. I could never completely maintain eye contact for more than a second with him. It was well bizzarre. He started to whisper to his friends whilst looking in my direction and it was obvs that he was talking about me. Used to do stupid stuff like close the door (with locks) so that I couldn't enter until I spoke to him. I never did! I just couldn't ever utter a single word at him; no matter how hard I tried. I used to ****ing day dream about this douchebag for hours!

This is when it gets really bad. Most of the girls in the club lusted over his ass for years before I showed up and absolutely hated my guts. They refused to converse with and really made it blatently obvious that they disliked me. I had no problem with that tbh because jely chicks be crazy at times and I didn't wanna get stabbed so I kinda stepped back.

The guy hinted and hinted that he liked me. I, on the other hand, made sure not to ever let him know how I feel. The first reason being that I can;t date because of my religion and the second being the fact that I was just a innocent/naive 12 year old girl. All I wanted really was some sweets.

Fast forward 4 years, I quit the damn club when I started my A2 and he quite a year before me. I sometimes bump into him on the street (He says Hi to my sisters but not me lol- probably assumes that I wouldn't reply back, which fyi I wouldn't).

You may ask, now what the hell is the problem?! I live in a small community where everyone knows one another. They all pretty much know that he liked me (including my mum I think! Never dared to ask her) and I can't help but feel that it is HIS fault for making these girls hate me so much. I can't help but feel that if HE didn't like me, yes I would have been upset a bit, but I think that I could have had become lifelong friends with some of these girls. The same way in which he has livelong friends from the club whereby they all go on holiday. FFS I sound like a effing jealous bitch, but the fact of the matter is that he took my innocence away when I was TWELVE and he was SEVENTEEN! He was wolf whistling, calling my name when I was with all the girls, bloody raping me with his eyes. Did I like it? The attention? A bit, he was really good looking. Would I much rather I just played like the child I was? HELL YEA.

This rant is sort of over. I am just sad that I partly blame him for the above reason and also that I am yet to find anyone I have the EXACT or similar feelings for. Other crushes usually last for about two months max. This one last(ed?) for 7 years. I just feel so confused and really wished that I could give him my peace of mind, but I just can't.
First reason being that due to me living in such a small community my parents will defo find out. Secondly, I just don't want to let him know how screwed up I have become.

I honestly wouldn't wish this upon any twelve year old. If I could do it all over again, I would defo tell him to leave me F alone. Don't matter if he was a pretty boy or not.

TSR please help me. Don't know with what or how but please do.

Feel like I should end it but I can't...?

  • Thread Starter

My boyfriend and I have been going out for almost a year. Although our relationship has progressed abnormally slowly due to me being anxious, I think we had a special connection when we first got together. Now it's like everything has dampened down. I know this is normal after the initial "honeymoon period" is over, but he said it feels like we are in a rut now. It is my first relationship and I think I've fallen for him too hard. I think about him all the time, miss him a lot and don't want him to leave when we are together. It feels right when we are together, to me anyway, and a lot of people say we are good together. But I feel like he isn't very interested in me any more and doesn't make me feel special any more. I am not the sort of person who expects to be showered with gifts, in fact quite the opposite. But after being together for a year, he has randomly surprised me with something possibly twice and given me flowers once. I recently went on holiday for a week and don't think he missed me at all. All the contact we had during this time was "good morning". I went to see him at his work and help him close, then asked him to hang around for a little bit to chat and he jokingly called me a bitch for making him wait longer for his bus. Admittedly, he knows I don't like doing things like going out for meals etc., but he never takes me anywhere. He said he might be going to the cinema with his friend and asked if I would go if he was. He didn't go, but didn't mention anything about it until it was so late they would have already left. When we don't see each other, our conversation exists of basically only "hi, how are you?", and today it was actually just "hi" and he never replied after that. He says he loves me online but never says it to my face. I am arranging my own birthday plans because otherwise probably nothing much will be happening. A couple of people and my Mum have told me that he's no good for me. But because of the th ings I talked about, even the thought of breaking up with him hurts too much.

'We were on a break!'

  • Thread Starter

If someone dumps you, ends the relationship, blocks you from everything etc....do they have any right to be angry with you if you sleep with someone else soon afterwards?

I'm in this situation, and said person unblocked me, and is now acting like I have cheated and went crazy....I feel guilty about it, but I felt I would never see them again and we were over, for good.

Chump Lady on Why You Can’t “Nice” People Out of Affairs

This is another good piece from CL.

Why You Can't "Nice" People Out of Affairs

This quote bears repeating!!!

"But here's the thing — you can't nice people out of affairs because you didn't "mean" them into affairs in the first place. Their decision to cheat is completely on them. We don't control other people. Our niceness doesn't win them back. And our meanness doesn't compel them to hurt us. Besides what crime did you commit that is proportionate to the punishment of being betrayed?"

The BS may be imperfect but they don't deserve the punishment of infidelity. As if the cheating spouse was perfect to begin with. HA!

My husband of 20 years had long affair. First steps??

Many of you followed my saga over on the Long Term Marriage board. I deleted the original thread because it had actual names in it and I'm in a very paranoid state today. I thank everyone who helped me over there, because you opened my eyes that he was cheating. Though I already knew it in my heart, you gave me the courage to investigate.

So... How do I even begin to survive when my husband of 20 years has had a two month long intense physical affair with a co-worker in our business? I have been going crazy for months trying to figure out what I did wrong. I guess all of you know what hell it is or you wouldn't be here. He is moving out this weekend and we haven't told the kids anything yet.

Where do I start? I've been quietly gathering evidence. I have set up a consultation with a divorce attorney (she's the best in town and once I consult with her he won't be able to use her later). I have changed passwords on my phone and computer. I will be going next week to be checked for STDs. My mind is swirling and I don't know what to do.

I work at the business too but I understandably would like to be separated from that. If the business is unsuccessful though (and my leaving would cause it to falter), he will not have the money to support us. I know our accountant. Should I contact him as a way to protect myself? I am so worried that the OW (salaried employee) is going to take us for all we're worth with either a sexual harassment lawsuit or just plain getting it from my husband. We salary ourselves enough to live on, but the business takes in much more than what is shown because everything is expensed.

Moving forward after his breakdown turned our lives upside down

I have been posting here for 9 months on and off, and I hope no one minds me posting again. I am now looking for help / advice / guidance or shared experiences that might help me in some way with getting the clarity I need to move on once and for all.

I have both more information and more personal clarity on the situation now more time has passed, but am finding it impossible to make that final switch in my mind where I make the choice to move on, or where I finally accept all this.

My situation is very complicated. I will bullet point it here to save anyone from reading too much or going back over old threads.
  • I was engaged to a man who I was incredibly happy with. He was seemingly madly in love, devoted, could not be happier. We were just very, very happy. I can't really find words to adequately describe what I mean by this...it was like a kind of bliss. No badness. No nastiness. No doubts...just two people who loved each other.
  • We lived together with my child and his child. Happy blended family. He was a wonderful partner and father and stepfather. All four of us loved each other very much and had a really happy house. Our kids considered themselves brothers.
  • I had relocated a significant distance from family, friends and job to live with him, which put a lot of pressure on me. Where he lived was very rural, did not have jobs in my field, and I could not afford a car on his salary. It was hard, but we really loved each other and most days were spent feeling lucky.
  • In 2013 our family experienced a severe run of bad luck and extremely stressful circumstances. As I was starting my own business, was isolated and was very stressed I developed generalised panic disorder. It was not crippling, but it affected me and for many months he offered me emotional support through this illness.
  • Over this period he developed depression himself (we had a huge number of outside stressors and huge financial pressures), but did not realise it was happening and did not communicate to me in order to protect me. He felt it was his role to look after me and he felt if he showed how down he was that I would leave him.
  • He had a nervous breakdown in Nov 13 and collapsed in on himself completely. Before people ask, it was most definitely a breakdown and a severe one as I witnessed it over many months. He left me very unexpectedly during the period when the breakdown started. He sent me a text message to say it was over and he was never coming back. This came out of nowhere. I can't describe the shock. He saw me as a burden he could not cope with and felt the only way to get better was to not have to worry about me (or my son) anymore.
  • He took me on a rollercoaster after that point of saying he loved me still and just needed time and asking for my support to hating me blaming me and telling me to go away. At times, he was so loving and opened up to me and I really felt we would get through it. Then he would turn cold and cruel again. Some of the things he did were unbelievably cruel and have left me quite shaken.
  • He had a very unhappy and painful marriage before me where he was emotionally abused over a period of years and did not react at all or let out any anger at her. He also had a difficult childhood where he was in boarding school from the age of 10 and also where he was bullied. He also had job problems where he was treated like crap, and he is generally completely unable to stand up for himself. That said, I NEVER took advantage of his gentle nature.
  • After he left, he did not say goodbye to my child, would not allow me to say goodbye to his, and our children who shared a home and life for years never got to say goodbye to each other either. It has been very traumatic on every level really and myself and my son have found it hard to adjust.

Fast forward nine months and he is better. He had 12 counselling sessions (I am sure this wasn't enough but he is stubborn) and he was on anti depressants for six months (again i am not sure it worked that well) but in the wake of his breakdown is a different person.

He learned in his 12 sessions of counselling that he was a "people pleaser" and that he was so adept at trying to earn approval from others that he forgot what made him happy.

I explained to him that was all well and good, but in order for me to "please" him he had to actually talk to me and tell me what he wanted. He accepted this was his mistake and not mine.

He simply says he realised that after many years (or a lifetime) of trying to please everyone, that he was exhausting himself and he needed to only focus on his own needs. He says he likes living alone and being alone and can't see wanting to be with anyone for a long time.

Now, I do understand the mechanics of what happened to him, and that he had underlying emotional problems that I didn't see, and I understand this was always about him and not me, but at the same time I lost my home, family, partner, life as I knew it, had my wedding cancelled and I feel so much all consuming grief and have no clue how or where to direct it. I find it hard to get "closure".

These parts leave me very confused:

1. He claims now that he was "people pleasing" and that he believed my love was conditional on him being a superman and this comes from the rejection of his previous wife who cheated on him over a very long period. He thought if he was the perfect partner, perfect Dad, perfect man I would never do that to him an that I would never leave. He said he thought if he showed me the warts and all version that I would not love him. But this feels so unfair on ME...because he never actually asked me and I didn't know he felt this way. To ME we were completely happy. He hid it from me and I paid the price????

2. It upsets me that for whatever reason this illness or this episode made him see ONLY the bad. He only sees that my son had aspergers and was challenging sometimes. He totally forgets how he used to cry and sports day, or how my son used to curl into him and tell him he was the best Dad in the world. He ONLY sees that i developed and anxiety disorder and needed support. He forgets everything else about me that he loved. It makes no sense to me. Even NOW after all this time if we see each other we still fancy each other like crazy, we still laugh, there's still such an ease between us and so much love. Yet to HIM...all I am is a burden? It makes me angry because I never blamed him for me getting anxiety....even though my relocation, the resulting isolation and problems could have all been attributed to him...it hurts so much that he blames me for his breakdown.

2. He and I had such a happy, kind, mutually loving and giving relationship and it was turned to one where he hated me overnight....and his only reason for that was that I had anxiety. Even 9 months on this is his ONLY reason. It hurts me SO much that my illness which I could not control was given as a reason to treat me this way and I cannot stop blaming myself and it's left me with such bad self esteem.

3. I am consumed with guilt for our children. I have no idea what to do or how I move forward from this. I have asked if we can all have contact, and my ex seems really to avoid the question. I believe he thinks it is better for the four of us simply to disappear from each others lives as if 5 years of family never even happened.

4. I don't know now if he ever truly loved me the way I loved him, or if I was just being used. I am scared that everything that was most previous to me in my life (him, our children, our home, the life we were making) was just a big fake. And if it was...where does this leave me?

5. He was the only father figure my son ever knew, and my son sees him as his real father. I can't shake the raging anger I feel at him for coming into that little boy's life, telling me and promising me he took the responsibility seriously, that he would treat us with kindness and always work on problems if they came up and he allowed by child to love and trust him over a period of years - only to yank it away and not even care enough to stay in touch.

As hard as I try to tell myself that I loved someone who didn't really exist, that there was nothing I could have done, that he was not who I thought he was etc.. I keep coming back to what my heart tells me. My heart tells me that we should have been together because we fit. He was not pretending every day for so long. He was a genuinely kind and loving man. We got along SO well. We fancied each other like mad (still do!) and we were kind to each other every day. Trying to tell myself he was not what i thought he was feels like lying to myself, because deep down I know this is not true.

I am sorry for the long post. I would be so grateful to hear from anyone who has moved on after unexpected abandonment. I want to make a new life, but I can't let go in a way where I feel peaceful about it.

All I can ever do is feel confused, conflicted, frustrated. I know I am at the final stage, the crux point where he is now recovered, off medication and making a new life without me and I know all hope I have held for so long is now gone and I MUST let go.

I just can't find the right mental stance to do it. it just feels UNFAIR. It feels WRONG. It feels SURREAL. It feels nothing like anyone ever expects.

People, with a life and a family and a ring on their finger are SUPPOSED to get a chance to work on problems. They are not supposed to be denied the opportunity by the other person pretending their were none and disappearing into the night with the decision to end a life together being made all on their own. People are SUPPOSED to get a build up period where they sense things are not quite right. For me, this was just a massive shock.

I just caught him red handed...

So... I've never posted before. Just joined yesterday. My husband of 9 years (been together for 15) recently told me that he felt confused and foggy and disrespected in our marriage and needed some space. Then I found out that he had been seeing another "person of interest". Seriously, that's what he called her. This was three months ago. Then it was, he slept with her, but he felt regret and wanted to work on our marriage and was deflecting her advances. So... I've been very depressed. Crying myself to sleep for weeks. Not knowing what was going on. Horrific panic attacks even with Xanax. I'm a strong woman, I think. I've been supporting our household for 90% of the bills for the past ten years, I have a great job, he's a musician...
So, fast forward to tonight. I am working late. I realize that one of his friends is playing a gig near my work. Hmm. I think. I wonder if he's there. It's Friday night. A few blocks away from work. Not far. So I go... I see his car. SOMETHING tells me just watch. I do, and guess what?! She's with him, the woman that that he has stated keeps after him and he's deflecting. He opens the car door for her. I run across the street and yell, hey , he sees me, and I know he quickly shuts the door. I'm too fast, I get there and pound the window. I look at her and say, oh you must be ! And then I proceed to call him out on his lies to her and me. I'm like, oh, so did he tell you why i left? because he spent the night with you. But now he's telling me that he wants to work on our marriage. and you won't give up. She quickly leaves with his friend. I then tell him to get out of the f'n car, because we need to talk. I tell him, I'm so done. Divorce is happening. ASAP. We ar e going to fast track it. We go have a drink, and I'm so happy because the not knowing is why was killing me? And now I know.
Is this normal? I've been so so depressed. I mean literally panic attacks and crying. But now I know he's a liar and a cheat and I'm happy?! Maybe I'll feel differently tomorrow but for now the only feeling I have is relief and knowing its over.
Normal?

The Fat Epidemic

Ladies,

Yesterday I spent the day with my wife in a sauna (nude spa & wellness complex).

Because its holiday and it was good weather, it was crowded. A couple of hundred of people.

What struck me like never before, almost all of the ladies were too fat. Not a little, virtually every woman had excess fat, over the whole line of ages. Some a lot, some a little. Most everybody was ugly because of lingering fat layers. It was an unsavory and distateful sight.

Now I have seen this phenomenon grow in the past decades, but here was the result of it. It is really bad.

The Lord has made women different than becoming like this. It is not about weight, it is about fat layers. Since I believe in creation of some sort this means mankind has succeeded in deforming the female body to horrific bubbling examples of overconsumption.

I believe the food industry and consumers together to be responsible for this.

But You All, my dear ladies, need to stop this. Stop the industry, stop the shops, stop the people, from working together in this disease, on the abolition of the beautiful female body.

Have you any experiences with older women? If so, any tips?

  • Thread Starter

I'm in my mid 20s but I'm really attracted to older women (30s to mid 40s) as well of course girls my age and younger.

I was wondering whether anyone here has ever had a "cougar" or "milf" experience?

The only thing I've done was I once went out with a woman 12 years older than me. She had approached me on an online dating site and ultimately she herself asked me out. The date was nice but it wasn't quite the Stilfer's mom situation I was expecting and nothing at all happened.

For those of you who have had more success, how have you found these women who are interested in younger guys? And how did it go?
