Help! I forgot Mother's Day

  • Thread Starter

Hello.

I was wondering if you would classify this as a forgivable mistake. I didn't mean to forget. I've been lost in my own thoughts about A levels, and I'm going to be successful enough to get into university, and what I'll do if that does or doesn't happen. I've let myself be taken by other distractions and I forgot to buy her something. She says she feels unappreciated, for which I can't blame her at all. What do I do? I've already apologised, but she says she's not mad.

I'm in my 20's and at uni, and recently have finished losing the best part of 7 stone in the last year. I have no real idea of how I look/how I can improve.

If any girls would be willing to help out, I'd really appreciate it :)

Are these signs?

  • Thread Starter

I spent this athletics training weekend and there were many boys but I was focusing on my training rather than them!

There was one boy around 3 years older than me who had been to these special weekends before and competes at a high level. He is really serious about it and took his role as a sports leader very seriously - he was even serious with his friends.

He was taking my session with four other guys and when giving the instructions he looked into my eyes and I locked into his for about 10-15 seconds. He did not address anyone else in the group when giving instructions and I always saw him looking at me.

I was laughing with my friends and he completely broke his serious manner and came laughing saying are you laughing at me? Tell me! I can take it!

A the end of the day, he placed me to the seniors i.e next to him for the photos. He also left placing me till last minute.

I was wondering if these are signs that he was slightly interested? I guess he couldn't show much as he wanted to get a good mark for his leading assessment.

Anyway, he lives in on the opposite side of England to me but I just want to know! I'm guessing no... but im socially akward. Also he does shot and jabelin but I do 800 so we will never see each other at events much since I can't get to his level anyway.

The day i told her i wanted the divorce

Hello friends, that's my second thread here, and in this thread i want to share with you what happened when i told her i wanted the divorce.
I thought she would be devastated and sad, maybe she would tell me that she loves me and want to work things out on our marriage. I wasn't expecting she would humiliate herself and cry to death, she's not like that and i know because she's tough. But i thought she would ask me why, what was her mistakes, maybe she would worry, maybe she would ask me what can we do, beg me, but no... she said things about living on her own, worried about paying bills because her salary is not enough, worried about finances, make ends meet, place to live because she doesn't want to live with her mom, etc. After all those things she told me i realized that she never loved me, the only thing she cares about is money, she was married with me just because i could pay all our bills, because i'm the financial provider, etc. I realized she is a original gold digger. What do you think about that? Am i right dont you think?
We've been married for almost 8 years, no kids.

Conflict between what is said and how one behaves

An issue came up this week at work, a married female co-worker was venting to me about and married male co-worker hitting on her and sending suggestive emails from his home email to her work email. I suggested that she reply to him by letting him know that this was inappropriate and to please stop. Then, if he continued she should take it up with our HR department. Here's where it gets really crazy. She starts dressing up even sexier and then proceeds to go to HR because he won't leave her alone.

What gives with her behaviour? How does she expect to get HR on her side wearing a super short skirt, sheer top and cleavage? All of which violate our dress code (corporate world).:scratchhead:

How to approach flatmate

  • Thread Starter

So basically, I was getting ready to cook some food today and when I went into my fridge I noticed a strange smell. I checked my raw chicken and was shocked to discover a knife had been stuck in it. It's gone off and I can't use it now

I have no idea if I popped the hole myself but it's very unlikely it was me as I would know/remember.

I doubt it was me, but now I'm actually fuming and I don't know how to respond without losing it completely.

I honestly don't know how to respond to this rationally...

I am being stood up by a guy friend!

  • Thread Starter

This guy is my good friend at uni. He has hurt me quite a lot recently but we are cool now.

On Friday, we agreed to do revision together today. Yesterday afternoon, I still have not heard back when and where we would meet up. So, I texted him in the afternoon saying hey are you still up for tomorrow? No replies still!

He knows I live quite far from campus and I go to the gym e.t.c.. So, I have to plan my day.

I just feel like he thinks I am going to wait around the whole Sunday to see him. What shall I do now? I feel like I am going to get stood up... he doesnt value time and our friendship!

Should I call her ?

  • Thread Starter

Long story short I went out for a date with a girl on friday and it didn't go all to well.

Nothing majorly bad happened but at times there were awkward silences. I'm usually much more talkative then I was on this occasion I guess nerves just got to me.

When it came to our goodbyes we agreed the date could have gone smoother. She said she would call me and to be fair it's only been a day that's passed but I like closure so im thinking I should just call her, even if it's just to find out if she likes me or not and ask if we can stay friends. She's going abroad sometime next week but im not sure when.

I guess according to dating rules I might come off needy but I couldn't care less about some banal mind games. Do you think I should leave it ?

Need some feedback please

I have posted my on-going saga on here before, but I thought I'd catch you up on things to date. My husband has not worked in a year and a half. He is an independent contractor and he hasn't been able to find work. When his last contract ran out, i immediately went back to work, even worked two jobs over the holidays to make ends meet. The only reason we've been able to survive this long is that his parents are paying all our bills and giving us money to live on. He has basically been a housewife instead of helping us out financially. Also, he has been working on his dissertation for his PhD for the last ten years! And is no where close to being done with that...so every semester we get a new $10k bill to his school for tuition because he won't finish it. So basically we are deep in debt and he won't help, just sponging off his parents and having me work non-stop. I want to leave but I can't afford to move out....not sure what to do. Should I secretly go to a lawyer to check out my options? Part of me is afraid to be alone again...like I failed in some way. Is that something you just get over once you're single again? If it weren't for the financial crisis we are in I would probably stay married to him forever, because I really do love him...I'm just so disappointed and depressed now. What can I do to feel better about moving on...the whole divorce idea is like an emotional hurricane I'm heading into and I'm scared. Any advice?

I know I am going to be slammed but I need to vent

So my husband had an EA with one of our employees. It has been a long process of trying to decide how to cope. Basically I moved out in December. I decided to not expose the OW to her spouse. Now comes the part where you can all slam me :)

I decided with help from my therapist to just let go of all the anger. I started feeling so much better. I got my focus back, started sleeping better, and was coming out of the dark. Now the part that is weird I started befriending the OW. I started attending social functions that my company paid for and we even went to counselling together. Since I got my life together now my WS wants me back. I have been letting him back on my life just a little bit.

Then last night happened, our business was awarded a big achievement mostly due to the work done by the OW. To celebrate we went to a resort town nearby with a few of the other staff. It was all women so I came along as I had to pay the bill. Needless to say a lot of drinking occurred. The OW, and one other lady were sharing a suite. Short story is I woke up in the middle of the night to go bathroom and found her screwing some guy. She never saw me and I scooted back to the room.

Needless to say I triggered like crazy. After seeing her behaviour I instantly went to a dark place, like no way they only had an EA. Then the guilt about her husband, now I know two times she has done this. I come home and asked my WS if he was telling me the truth. He swears he is. I then asked if he has had any type of sexual behaviour with anybody else beside her and the recent ex girlfriend in the 12 years we have been together. His answer seemed off, his tone of voice was off. When I asked him about taking a lie detector he said no. Then got mad at me and said he had enough of my emotional issues and whether or not he can start dating again.

I didn't tell him about the OW and the man. Am I just projecting her cheating behaviour on him? Either way his reaction was completely wrong correct?

Does this make me gay?

  • Thread Starter

I'm a male and wondering if I am party gay or not. I've always considered myself a heterosexual, but I've been having some doubts recently...

So here's some facts:
-I like girls and vaginas
-I have a girlfriend
-I find gays disgusting
-I don't support gay marriage
-I would find the idea of giving oral to a guy disgustin

However...
-I would love to receive anal sex from a man
-The bigger the penis the better

Does this make me gay?

Should I break up with my boyfriend?

  • Thread Starter

I really like him and think I'm starting to fall in love with him. However, I feel like I'm the one always initiating conversation and asking when to meet up etc. in the last two weeks we've only seen each other about two times and every time I ask him if he wants to hang out he's always doing something else or he says "maybeeee". I don't want to be mugged off and it's really starting to distract me from my studies. I'm starting to think maybe it's better to get out now before it hurts way too much.

All work no life balance - what to do?

  • Thread Starter

So i'm at uni at the moment coming towards the end and soon to be looking for a job in my chosen fields. Problem is though the subject I chose is very demanding times wise, it's a career type of subject rather than a purely interest subject. If you want to do well in it or just get involved in it, it's an all or nothing thing it seems. Sure some take it real casually and do the minimal but they often don't do well and perhaps don't enjoy the subject itself as much. I don't see this commitment level changing once I get a job in it, from what I hear its just as bad or possibly worse. Does anyone else have this issue on here and how do you deal with it? I'm not great on the social front anyway, but this situation is not helping since I tend not to talk to people I house share with that much simply because I wouldn't have the time to spend talking with them/socializing, if you know what I mean.

Post breakup behaviour

  • Thread Starter

Why do girls often go so cold and distant when a good relationship ends? I find it really hard to understand how romance turns to contempt. I still feel the pain of the breakup with my first love. Do guys do the same thing? I've always been up for at least distant friendship with exes..
