Spy on your spouse--A vent thread

This is a vent thread....my vent thread. So, if you don't want to hear it....go elsewhere.
It seems that too many posters have watched too much TV. If you are having marital fidelity problems, the answer is to spy on your spouse. If your wife goes out with the girls....get a VAR and put it under the car seat...maybe you will catch her cheating. If ol' Mort next door is talking too much to your sweetie, hire a PI to spy on him. Some will actually go so far as to check their wive's underwear. Do any of these posters have any nuts , at all? Is it just me, or is it that these posters are too weak to confront their spouses, and will do literally anything to avoid it. Then, other posters will advise them to "go dark" or some such cliche' and sneak around like a weasel. Is it any wonder that some of these WS's have no respect for their spouses? Whatever happened to manning up and taking control of your household? What ever happened to "laying down the law"?
The answer that they will give, of course, is that cheaters lie and deceive, so you HAVE to spy to get the truth. Bullsh*t. I have yet to see on TAM, a WS's who was a criminal genius, so that it took Sherlock Holmes to catch her or him.
Paying attention to your spouse, knowing her daily routine, work times and outside interests, with a good helping of common sense, and anyone can catch any cheater.
So, before you go out and pay for all of this electronic crap, polygraphs, PI's etc. Try using what is between your ears, first.
This is my rant thread....and that's the way I feel about this nonsense.

Friendzone a myth or fact ?

  • Thread Starter

What do you think ?

Usually when you get friendzoned by a girl it means your not boyfriend material and generally she dosent see you as someone who she wants a relationship with.

However some people post online crap that says you can get out of the friendzone and possibly be in a relationship with her. Realistically if she doesnt like you, you are not going to be in a relationship with her are you ?

Myth or fact ?

3 year anniversary & valentines day present?

  • Thread Starter

Hey I was wondering if anyone had any unique ideas for a valentines day present for my boyfriend, it's our 3 year "anniversary" then too so we are doing something special.
I know he's booked a nice meal and hotel and will be getting me a present so what shall I get him? He spent quite a bit on me at christmas and I'd like to spoil him too.
Thing is we've already got a lot of the cliche stuff for each other, last year I got him an expensive watch, aftershave and dogtags which he loved. But what about this year?
I've already booked an experience day for indoor skydiving as I thought it was a bit different, will probably get some aftershave too, but anything else? ((none sexual please, that's a given already ;) ))

I thought this was a compliment...she didn't.

  • Thread Starter

So I'm out at this after-work social at a bar in Oxford and I was talking to a girl I work with. We've been working together for a few months now. I think she's single but I've never really asked; no ring anyways.

After a few drinks I'm picking up some seriously good vibes from her. I tell her that she has 'eyes like an angel but lips for sin' with a bit of a grin on my face.

She then proceeds to say 'how dare you' and walks off and actually goes home.

I don't understand what I said wrong. It's hardly like saying 'nice tits'...

I am am not looking forward to Monday morning :/

He keeps asking to 'spend the night' with me?!

  • Thread Starter

I was really drunk in a club on Friday and lost all my friends by mistake. I met this guy there and he walked me back to mine and slept round. But, I made an excuse not to have sex as I was on my period (tmi, sorry.) When he left the next morning, I gave him my number and since then he has been texting me asking if he can come over again and have a 'proper night' with me! I have never been asked this before and don't know what to say back. Help

Husband shut me out after baby #1

My husband and I always had a pretty rocky relationship, but if nothing else, we connected physically very well. I got pregnant, he started drifting away. He never wanted to feel the baby move, rub my feet, or go to prenatal or ultrasound appointments with me. After I had our baby, he was so cruel, mean and verbally abusive. While I was pregnant, I complained to him that he was treating me as if my being pregnant wasn't special. His response was, "Because it's not". Ouch, that hurt. After I had our baby, we got in to a tiff over financials and he pointed his finger at me, and very vehemently spat out, "I had to pay for you to have YOUR baby!" Wow. I was so shocked. In fact, I paid more than half that total bill, prenatal care and all. He not once offered to help me cover the cost of prenatal care and doctors visit copays, I paid for all that and more. When the labor and delivery bill had to be paid, we each paid half.

He's called me worthless, put me down for the way I dress, eat my food, use a fork, talk to my child, dress my child, and the list goes on and on. Two days after we brought our newborn baby home, he was in the bedroom, screaming quite angrily, "My ****ing socks don't go here!" I began crying and haven't stopped in nearly two years.

He withheld sex from me for a long time and in two years we may have had sex twelve times. I wasn't able to have sex after about four months in to my pregnancy in 2012, so in almost three years, I can probably count on both hands how many times we have had sex.

I have tried to work it out with him in therapy. He has said that he just doesn't want to have sex with me. When I ask him if he loves me, he says he can't give me an answer. He has blamed me for being high anxiety, high stress and having slight OCD as the reason why he can't get along with me, but really the major part of our animosity started after I had our baby.

He is a heavy pot smoker, and likes to pop the occasional oxy, vicodin, or any other narcotics he can get from a pal. I've tried to think that I compromise for his drug use, so why can't he overlook my OCD or anxiety issues. I am a perfectionist and I live by structure, and work best under pressure. He's lazy, works from home, so he can have plenty of flexibility to lie to his boss and go home to nap when he should be at work.

I work full time, making less than I used to, but my job offers us insurance benefits and the flexibility to take my child to work, work from home, or go get her from nursery school any time I need to .

He pushes me to make more money. I try to explain to him that another position probably won't allow me the flexibility to up and be a mom any time I need to, which is a lot. Our daughter was sick for a week straight and vomiting, and my husband couldn't just up and take off from work to stay home with her all week, but I could, and still was able to work and earn my income.

I used to work in another industry and made about ten grand more a year, but the work would not allow a flexible parenting situation as I have now.

He hates that I don't make more money, even though he got a twenty grand pay increase to his salary after we had our daughter. It's as though he resents having to make more and share.

Anyway, trying to be a good wife, serving him coffee in bed, laying out his clothes, cooking and cleaning for him, and trying to revisit our sexual relationship didn't work so well for me. He is cold, frigid, distant, neglects me physically and has approached me maybe four times to have sex in nearly three years. All other times, I had to practically beg him to have sex with me.

He hasn't paid me one compliment in nearly two years, nothing. He hasn't ever said I look nice, or pointed out any positives about me or my being a mom.

Then recently, I found he was sexting another woman. He's been on OKCupid since we got married. He claims he likes looking through the people who try to hook up with him on OKCupid, because he thinks it is funny. And he claimed he was sexting another woman he met on a parenting site, because he needed an outlet, someone to talk to who would understand him. Plus, he's addicted to porn, and not just porn, but the really degrading stuff.

We had sex twice since Xmas 2014, and the last time we did he congratulated me on the best sexual performance ever. I did all the things he likes, tried new stuff and he really seemed impressed and pleased. I told him I wanted to do this for so long, and we could do more, anything he liked, I would do because I love him and want us back. A week later I started finding texts to another woman about how he wanted to have sex with her. It was very explicit. I was crushed.

I took his phone and asked who the other woman was, he didn't say. I threw his phone down. That night I spent with a friend, and brought my daughter for a sleepover at her house. When I went home the next day, he still did not apologize. I confronted him again, and he said he needed an outlet. I then checked OKCupid and found he has still been frequenting his OKCupid account almost daily. He tried to explain all of it away as though I was wrong to go looking. He even told me to stop looking for things.

I told him to move out. He wouldn't go. He kept saying he was going to clean out his storage unit to move his stuff there. Still, he did not go. At this point, I was furious seeing his face around me. I kept telling him to go, he finally had enough of my nagging that he left. I texted him to remember the land lord was coming the next morning, so he would have to return to clean out any drugs he may have left in his home office and lock up anything important in his home safe.

He returned the next morning at 7:30 AM, bounding through our front door screaming at me that he had to beat rush hour traffic just to get home to put his drugs, guns and other such stuff in the home safe. He was enraged.

I calmly approached him as I began vacuuming and asked why he was so upset when he was the one who got caught. The next thing I know, something exploded in to my forearm and I thought my wrist was broken. He threw an object so hard at me, my wrist swelled up like a golf ball and it is still black and blue nearly a week later.

Now, my husband keeps a bulk supply of Extreme Glide next to his PC, along with a large pile of jack-off socks that grows ever larger next to the right of his computer desk. He took one of the full bottles of that sex lube and launched it at me as I vacuumed.

Screaming in pain I began to cry. I looked for my phone to call for help and realized he hid it. My daughter got up, awakened by my crying. I asked for my phone and my husband tossed it to my feet where I lay screaming in pain. He got me an ice pack and towel, I dialed the police.

I cried in to the phone that my wrist was broken by my spouse and I needed help. All the while, he is asking me who I called. The police? He began to curse and in a booming anger, he barked, "I'm. Sorry. OK?" No upward inflection, no feeling, no real feeling to it.

He left for work. Now he's out. Lives with some friends now, for almost a week now. But, he's still getting on OKCupid. And his side ***** is still texting him.

He and I spoke a couple nights ago and discussed it may be good for us to live apart for a while. Ah, doy!

The thing is, he still hasn't explained, or apologized to me. Should I live apart for awhile, file for separation, or ask for a divorce. We have a nearly two yr old daughter. I care for him, but he says I need help with my anxiety, stress and hormones for our marriage to work.

Is "just be yourself" good advice

What does it genrally mean when she teases you, makes fun of you?

  • Thread Starter

What does it mean if a girl teases, makes fun of you, jokingly calls you things like 'idiot and creepy' talks silly with you, laughs with you, calls you sometimes by your full first name when your known by your shortened name. Also saying things to be playfully mean, yet we can have serious conversations about work and other stuff. She also says aww sometimes when I do something, not to her but in front of her. Is she just attention seeking? she's 23 and acts daft like this when I'm with her. She also has a bf. I don't intend on doing anything just want to know how things stand.

Guys, would you date an ex-bulimic who has a few relapses?

  • Thread Starter

I just wanted to know. I'm currently seeing a guy (not exclusive yet) and have mentioned this to him when we were talking. He asked if I was bulimic, I didn't say yes or no, but I said I have a complicated relationship with food. He's very understanding and didn't make a big deal out of it (his best friend is or was bulimic too)

I workout every day and try and eat as healthy as possible, I know I am not overweight at the moment, well I don't look THAT overweight but I do have a fear of being overweight or being rejected due to it.

I am fairly attractive, I have good self esteem at the moment, but I have relapses where I eat rubbish and release it. It used to be every time I ate, but now it's one binge a day.

Recently divorced but missing my ex wife

So here's my story. Was married for little over 2yrs. Together for 6 years. We've shared a lot of great memories. Been through are fair share of ups and downs. We both don't do drugs and sober. We've traveled out of the country and across the country and live life to the fullest. She is my soulmate my best friend and my everything. She has always got my back if I needed her. We have stayed truthful and loyal to one another.
Well about year and half ago we had our first child, son. Born premature and spent 180days in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). My wife had endured a lot in that pregnancy. Lots of stress in that period. Well not long after our son came home, about 2 months, my wife was pregnant again. Long story short, we lost our second child and devastated.
This ordeal started the decline of our marriage. Lots of blaming and arguments etc... She said I was not there emotionally for her in time of need. I thought I was but I take responsibility for all my flaws. I regrettably blamed her for the loss of our child out of anger and during an argument. YES, that was a low blow and I sincerel apologized to her about my comment. She sadly has not forgiven me and rightfully so. Not long after in October last year decided to file for divorce and served with papers after I dared her. Yes I'm an idiot thinking she wouldn't do it but she did. But shortly after reconcile and had a great Christmas holiday with few arguments in between.
New year was different and saw a decline again in the marriage. One of our recent argument, I called her out and said to her to finish and make the divorce final. I just said it thinking she still love me and wouldn't do it,Well guess what, she did. So after getting home the other day she told me she's moving out of state with our son.
As you can imagine, I'm devastated. Hurt and lost and betrayed. I helped her pack her thing in a trailer, spent the day with her and our son. We talked about about our life and situation and what are plans are etc. all the while I'm heartbroken to know they are leaving later that night.
She says time will tell. I asked her if it was ok for me to cling on "hope" and possibly reunited again as a family, she says yes. She also said nothing is for sure at this point. She just wants to figure herself out and time will tell.
Its been about a day now since they left and I feel like crap. Lots of emotions right now and deservedly so. Btw she had left me before for about a week to her parents before we got married with kids. She returned because she misses and loves me.
Back to my story. I know I gotta giver her space and as I'm typing this I got a text message that she wants to skype. Should I just ignore her for now. I'm confused. I simply want her back with our son and be a family again. I am far from perfect. What should do or don't do to win her back?

Unsure where I stand...

New to this site and am posting for the first time. Hoping this can start to help me at home to communicate with my husband. Maybe a short history...

We've been married 4.5 years together for about 6, and communication has been a sore subject and the point of many arguments over the years, more often in last year or even 6 months. My husband and I have very different styles of communicating, and maybe that comes with our age (he's 49, I'm 32) but either way, im worried that were in this vicious cycle and just can't get out.

I'll admit it, I'm not great at communication, im a very introverted person, I don't talk about my own feelings, but I try to often ask my husband how he
S doing, or if I feel something is on his mind, what that is. I'm not good at keeping a conversation going, nor am I good at philosophical conversation, or what that entails. My husband is good at all of it, including reminding me time and again what conversations we've had and how nothing has changed, despite that fact that I feel I've tried very hard to be more in tuned with his moods, and more interested in his (now) job of being a writer.

I feel like it's always left up to me to ask what's bothering him, and when I do, it's usually the same thing (me) and what I'm not doing to give him what he needs.

I've tried, I'm afraid this time there's no repairing. The last time we had a conversation about it, was about a month ago. I feel like the arguments are getting closer together, and there's no time to improve or get counseling or really have a noticeable change before the next onslaught of arguing...

Anybody out there with any insite, advise or anything? Please I love my husband dearly, and I just want him to be happy.

Thanks

Really stupid sh!t

Everyone must know of stupid sh!t that goes on where they live, be it city councils, school boards libraries etc.

I noticed one day while picking my girls up from school, all the school buses lined up out front with the students boarding them. As I was leaving the parking lot, one of the buses pulled out drive 20 feet and put on the flashing lights. The door opened and a kid got off and walked across the street.

I couldn't believe this, the kid lived right across the street from the school and takes the bus!!! My daughter says the kid is in her class and actually catches the bus to school too!!!
Funny thing is the kid's mother will walk to the edge of the street and wait for him to get off the bus!!!

I thought to myself, "you lazy b!tch!!!" You can't walk across the street to get your child from the school?? No wonder my taxes are so fvcking high!!!
