I thought this would be an interesting subject. There are pros and cons to both.
Is there any truth to couples staying together longer and trying harder if they aren't married? It seems with just being boyfriend and girlfriend, the flight risk is higher, because you have nothing to lose? Does that put more fear of loss into a relationship, knowing your mate could just split on a dime?
Then there's the old sex joke, featured on a lot of bumper stickers: " Want to destroy your sex life, get married"!! You have to admit things are hotter while dating your would be spouse?
There seems to be a lot of people that dated a long time, 5 years or more before marrying, I wonder if they would choose before or after??
