I'm new here but I'm curious as to what most young people's opinions on this are. Having said that I'm only 22 myself but It happens quite frequently in London and a lot of students in my experience have tried it.
I have had several friends who do this both on full time and an occasional cash earner type. I'm extremely liberal when it comes to this sort of topic so if you believe in the value of love etc. I just don't believe it plus religious/sanctity arguments just fly over me because I believe in the Darwin theories that we all die and its just a race to the top.
I've slept with many men and now I think it would've been nice not to give it away for free because sleeping with guys just didn't achieve anything in terms of my emotional development. My advice is to both guys and girls: people will use all sort of lines on you to give it for free. I love you...I'm married but I'l leave x for you etc. Focus on your studies, find good friends and don't waste your time believing nonsense. At the end of the day, this world is increasingly becoming a cruel place to live in and if you don't have the basics, a good education, social skills, work experience, money and safety than you might as well give up already.
Having said that people has always mixed of value with sex. To anyone who says they would rather be in a relationship, most forms of relationships are based on money as well. Who do you know that never fought hard in a divorce for money or assets? Most girls these days wouldn't even look at a guy without imagining 50 ways to spend his cash. This goes bothways as well. I'm having a 'bitch' day but I think most people are just there to use other people.
