I was amazed reading this study about the effects of a virtual branding of online gaming cheaters.
Branded with a Scarlet "C": Cheaters in a Gaming Social Network - ResearchGate
One of the statistical outcomes is a little wild. That cheating behavior can be statistically inferred by analyzing the structural features of an online gamer's profile.
We register sex offenders & felons because they have violated the laws we live by. Cheaterville is an attempt to register cheaters, a caveat amator. I imagine there are people who actively work to increase their notoriety on CV. I have nothing against them, I just think it would be useful to be able to identify and avoid them. Has anyone found CV useful beyond public shaming?
Is there anything to apply from this study?
