Hi all,
I have a good male friend (I am female). Who has been confiding in me that he's not entirely happy in his year long relationship. He misses his ex a lot to start with, and his girlfriend is so insecure it's astounding. If he doesn't text her back due to the fact hes working for a few hours, she hits the roof and accuses him of not caring and begging him not to dump her; ordering him to tell her that he loves her.
Last night she found I had been placed in his group for placement and again had a hissy fit, hit the roof and then conveniently blamed it on the fact she's getting results and misses her friends whilst living at home. She rang him up sobbing into the phone then just hung up. This is not the first time she's behaved like this with regards to me, basically because I'm a girl and his friend she hates me.
So my friend moans about her, tells me he wants an equal, not someone he has to support and I tell him i think he deserves better and doesn't have to put up with this rubbish; it all upsets him a lot. But then he tells me he does have to put up with it, and all women are crazy like this.... then gets in a huff with me for siding with him and basically saying he can do better.
This is highly frustrating as it happens every time they have an argument. To make things more interesting Im going round for a gathering tonight and she's going to be there too - so i'll meet her in the flesh for the first time.
Im not sure exactly what im asking - more does anyone have any opinions? Have I been far too rude to him? ANyone been through this with a friend before?
