ex GF's jewellery?

This has probably been discussed in the past but I couldn't find a relevant thread. My ex said in an email she will give me back all the jewellery I had gifted her. These are quite a lot for just 3 years of relationship and all of them rather expensive. I would prefer her to keep them. Even if our relationship went down the drain, they did mean something when I gave them to her. What should I do now? Do I insist that she keeps them? If she refuses and eventually gives them back to me I am not interested in selling them because I know used jewellery sells for peanuts and they are fine pieces, it would be a shame to sell them for next to nothing. Should I give them to a new GF? Should I give them to somebody neutral, like my mother or my niece?
