Any stories of taking BF/GF back after they've cheated?

My GF of 6 months cheated on me. she wasn't happy in the relationship and says it was her and not me. i had to break up with her, but doubting my decisions at the moment. Has anyone been in this situation? Ever taken him/her back after they've cheated on you? Did that work? What did you do to make it work? Or, if it didn't work, why do you think it didn't work? I'm a complete mess right now, and I really need to talk to people and hear from them please. thanks.
