Like a guy but think friendship is over.

Ok 2 things, first I only came on here for the discretion and secondly I'm a homo. Here goes, I've been friends with this guy for a few months and we got on great until I fell in love with him. I finally confessed and he was cool but I asked for some time away from him to get over it and he failed to respect that. He kept texting and calling wanting to hang out and I reaffirmed my wishes he had a complete bitch fit and got offended. Deletions here and there (Facebook for example) and I just don't know what to do. I only wanted some space to get over a painful crush and now I think our friendship is totally ruined. If anyone has been through something similar or is simply wise beyond their years any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
