Anyone had this before?

Hi, So for the last two months Ive been speaking and meeting this girl and we are currently seeing each other, get along, have a laugh and I think the world of her. However I havent met her since last friday because shes been busy working and college. I did plan to meet her on monday but she said she couldnt, then yesterday but she didnt because her friend was upset, I asked if she wanted to meet today and she said she couldnt because she was seeing her friend again. Im quite an intelligent person and read between the lines of certain things, which I have done here, is she not meeting me no more because its her way of letting me down in a nice way? Aswell as that we dont seem to have lengthy conversations like we used to, its more straight to the point and not lengthy texts. Im new to relationships etc and Im just wondering, once it gets to a certain point, do you become like what Ive described above in terms of texting etc. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience? Thanks
