I am 34 and have a 14 year old (recently) disabled daughter that I have raised alone since she was 3 months old. I have throughout the years tried dating but it has been very difficult. It seems many women are turned off by it and it's been hard for me to find companionship. I even would do a test on dating sites whereby I'd take out the fact I was a single father out of my profile and low and behold, the number of women that would reply to my messages or just send me any increased greatly. Even IRL when I've been on dates we could be having a good enough time but as soon as I mentioned I was a single father I could tell their attitude would change (and not for the better). I put my daughter first of course, and would in no way jeopardize that or go further with a woman I didn't think would be a good fit but I have to admit, I really wish for companionship but it's been very hard to find. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :) | |||
