Hey everyone.
My ex and I broke up last May. We were together 7 months and it's safe to say I was absolutely infatuated with her. She didn't really treat me very well, she put in next to no effort in the relationship and eventually we parted ways. Yet, I couldn't still help loving her to the point where I thought about her every day. Shortly after our break up, she made contact, however I finally lost my cool and freaked at her, letting her know how horrible she had been and how lucky she was to have had someone who loved her so much regardless of what she did. Let's just say, she didn't make contact again after that. I blocked her on all social networks simply to maintain my own sanity, I was constantly checking up on her and it wasn't doing me any good.
Exactly a month ago, I was laying in bed thinking about her, and I decided to send her a text. It was casual, it went along the lines of "I know our last chat didn't end well, but how are you doing?". I didn't get a response, until yesterday! She wrote me a huge paragraph of text, she said she was well, asked how I was, but she then went on to apologise for the way she treated me, told me I was a charm to be with and that recent life experiences have made her wish she could've treated me the way I deserved to be treated. She then went on ask that I meet her next time I'm back from uni, so we could have a coffee on her. Her text ended with,"I don't expect you to reply, I hope you don't hate me. I'm again so so sorry for what happened between us, but I hope we came out better people from it".
I replied, answering her questions, told her I could never hate her, and was honest about how crazy she drove me some times, but told her it was all in the past. I agreed to meet her for a coffee, but I don't know on what grounds we are meeting. Does her text sound like she wants to meet as just friends? Or does it seem like the potential for something more could be there? If there was another chance for us to work, I would take it.
If somebody could provide me with some insight, that would be great :)
Put the internet to work for you.
