My wife is extremely insecure with me joining a cover band and playing in front of other women in a bar. Gig out about 2- times a month at the most. I do not touch any of these women, not sing to them and of course do not lead any of them on as if I like them. And when the gig is over I pack up immediately and go home. All while wearing a wedding ring!
She thinks that by me entertaining them (of course there are men in the crowd as well, and very well could be the spouse or boyfriend of some of these women) that I am having an emotional affair and getting off by their stroking my ego. I know it sounds crazy but that is just how bad it is.
Lately she has made the comment that as long as I am in this band, don't expect anything from her in the relationship. She says that I have betrayed her by wanting to go into these places. (Side note: She is also coming at this thing from a religious aspect as well)
By the way, she doesn't enjoy the bar scene and is extremely jealous if there are ANY woman that is decent looking dancing in front of me. Recently I told her that if age does't like it, maybe the best the thing is to not come. We play Classic Rock / Modern Country and some R&B so our music is not a bump and grind type of music.
Can ANY women on here relate to what she is doing? any men going through anything similar?
