I met this girl briefly on an exchange programme at my school 9 years ago. Yes, 9 years ago. But bear with me..
We really hit it off at the time. She sat with me at breakfast, walked with me from dorms to class, hung out with me and I feel like we really connected. She was ever so pretty and had a wonderful personality. Even though I only knew her for little more than over the week she was here for, we got on really well.
But I was very very shy and even though I was attracted to her, she had a boyfriend back home, and I was extremely nervous around girls. I deliberately didn't ask for her number out of fear of temptation. Plus she lived abroad.
This was before facebook/social media, etc. Now I've finished uni and started working in the capital. Out of sheer luck when doing research on a linked in profile, for my friend, saw my crush's profile.
I think she works at some fancy restaurant in London on the management staff as an intern. Is it possible in some way to connect with her? I do admit I fancy her, but even if I could be friends with her I would be so happy.
I don't use ( and don't want to get into) social media. I'm a traditional phone sort of guy. Also I'm very shy lol. But I would build up courage and go for a reunion with her if I could. Checked her facebook profile through using my friends page and looks like she's single.
What should I do? What would I say? How to greet her and get her phone number? She may not be the special someone like in a romcom, but I would like her to be a friend/part of my life cos she was a terrific girl.
It's been 9 years, would she recognise me? I have met people after 5 years from school and we remembered each other, but will she?
Sigh, yep I'm a hopeless romantic. :D aka ted mosby. Advice?
