My Indian parents will not accept my boyfriend. Please please help!

After hiding our relationship for a year I decided to tell my parents about my boyfriend because Summer has arrived and I don't want to be sneaking around. I am 21 and studying pharmacy, my boyfriend is 28, white and a primary school teacher.

My parents are completely and utterly against us. They said he is a loser, common, trailer trash, a nobody, that I'm going to ruin my life, that they would never accept white people as their in-laws and how wrong relationships before marriage are. My parents said if I leave to see him they will chase us down the road in the car and it will come to blows. They have also threatened to disown me. The other problem is that I have barely come home from uni to see them because I have to choose between seeing them and seeing my boyfriend, I've been choosing my boyfriend. They feel betrayed by this but they don't understand that this is the position they are putting me in.

I love my boyfriend very much and I am not going to leave him. My parents are not going to budge. Do you think I should carry on sneaking around until I finish my degree and my boyfriend and I can live together?
