| I was in a relationship for about a year during the time I was in university, back in 2011. We broke up because of different career paths and I was moving out of London, and him back to Italy where he was born. We haven't been in contact since, but as of December we've been chatting on facebook every so often. Then, about a month ago out of the blue he invites me to come to Italy for a weekend to see him. He would pay for the ticket, and I would stay in Venice where he's living. Just as friends. What do you think I should do? I don't really have feelings for him anymore, aside from friends, but I don't want him to think I'm up for starting again (especially as we're in different countries now). I'm not in a relationship at the moment so it would be harmless, but all I'm interested in is a catch-up. At first I thought he was just goofing around with the idea, but he's actually serious. Can you meet up with an ex and just be friendly? Obviously there's no real chance of becoming CLOSE friends as of the distance, so maybe a weekend with him is just pointless? | |||

Should I meet him?
